That's incorrect. The wording is identical to disruptive sans the within 6 requirement, and that was on purpose. Commanders with force immunity cannot be disrupted, nor can characters, but both commanders and characters without force immunity have their ce's "suppressed".
So to clarify what I mean. Let's say you have Grand Admiral Thrawn. His CE cannot be suppressed, so within 6 of him (where allies can gain force immunity) his CE's would still apply. Outside of the bubble however, they would lose them.
