What did you use for Jaina?

Jaina's legs are from a Zabrak Fringer, which is also what I am using for my version...the rest of her, not real sure, maybe a Talia al-Ghul head?

Very nice work Lily, as always. Is that Rhom and repainted and modded Crimson Dynamo?

What did you use for Jaina?

Not really. You'd need to remove the factory paint (I can't help with that) and then blackwash the clear mini. If you use a wash as is, it will have more defined features but still look orange.

My Jaina is a Zabrak Finger with some D&D head (not sure which model) and SWM arms, including the gauntlet from a Death Watch.

Yes. I made the head using Sculpey because I couldn't find a good match. The gun is from a Wookiee FF. Arm repositioned. It has many brass accents which don't come across in the picture.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I would want it to glow a little bit from the orange undertone but I want it to not look like I just painted completely over it, either.

As for Jaina, I was really hoping to find out what DDM piece you used, lol. I have a ton of old DDM crap that I have started converting for some the figs in the V-sets. There's a Doom Guard fig that fits Celeste Morne almost perfectly, once I repaint her pants to remove the heart-shaped pink underwear from her backside.

All I remember is she was a redhead with a gold headband and a sceptre or wand of some sort, and dressed in robes (white and yellow?) standing frontways on; not a remarkable pose.

I tried alternating black and grey washes to get that effect and it worked to an extent, but not what I wanted. I ended up following advice on the boards (I forget where) and mixing black with a clear matte coating (1/2 black, 1/2 matte) and then doing a grey wash over it. It looks black in normal lighting, but you can still see the glow a bit when a light is behind. A greater proportion of matte to black might work, if you want to risk it.

Oh, and amazing customs. How did you make your Tycho?

RS Bossk. I changed the arms (Nautolan Soldier and Heroclix Human Bomb), boots (?) and head (Human Scoundrel). I added the chestplate. I think that's all.

Lily

What type of adhesive are you using? My super glue (from LockTite, should have known not to trust a band that can't spell "Tight") seems to hold for a while and then... breaks.

Are you using a binary epoxy or just a normal glue?

Oh no! I just started using that Locktite gel a few weeks ago. Perhaps all of the minis I made recently will fall apart. I'll be sure to update if I notice that happening. Before trying Locktite, I always used Krazy (note to marketers: It's not a more appealing product just because you misspell the name) Glue in "pen" dispenser. It had an inconsistent dry time (maybe due to different plastics) but always held up well.

Well, my pretty little award for the Epic set was very solid, until gravity hit it. And for some reason, the glue wouldn't adhere to the same spot again. I am using some Gray Stuff to try to give it a bit more surface to adhere to. The irony is me trying to secure and protect said miniature and then it comes apart.

I was wondering if that glue accelerator did the trick

Wow that Terentatek is very nice. Whoever wins this at GenCon will be one lucky guy!

The others are really good too. I especially like your Sith Wrangler, very creative with the lasso :D

Amazing stuff! I wish I had 1/10th of your talent. :)

What is the figure with the tie-dyed dress?

Right. Is that the proper look for the R&R character? I just assumed Royal Handmaiden was Padme's decoy. Maybe she's Hapan or something?

Royal Handmaiden is intended to be Padme's Decoy.

Updated with the Nightsister Mother, Rancor Keeper and Vandar. Vandar is a repaint of my Sith Yoda, hence the lightning.
