Well, I have contemplated a rental car. And I believe, in an email, Jonathan mentioned that someone may put us up for the night but I have to follow up on that.

My thing is, I was on the fence about this, so I'd really only go if someone else who had already planned on going had space for me in their car. Gotta save up for Gencon and such. It's unfortunate. :(

I feel terrible guys. Kris and I are going down Friday morning, but our wives are coming. They are going down to SC to see some old friends while we play, plus it gets them away from the kids for the weekend (total of 7 between both families). These opportunities don't present themselves very often, so you have to grab it when you can get it. That was the only way that we were going to be able to make it down. So unfortunately there won't be any room left in the car. I know Ian is still on the fence, and if he goes, he said you can ride with him. But he may not know for a few days.

I understand. I didn't think I would have a chance, and may not still have a chance, to make it down there. I am not going to guilt trip anyone especially if it is a family thing.

So don't misunderstand.

If I don't, I don't. No big deal. What am I going to do? Win a GenCon badge and turn it over to the second place person because I know I can't go? Not that big deal. I would like to see the old town again but who knows.

Right now, I am going to go back and work on my very complicated, and hopefully very neat, Tycho Celchu mini.

I hope so as several sets of "both hands" died for the pending mini. (Read: Trying to get the right pair of gloves, blasters, etc)

+1 to what Cory said. I don't fault anyone for having plans which are incompatible with my spur-of-the-moment decision to want to go to the NC Regionals, lol. If it happens that I can go, that's cool, if not, oh well, and I'll see everyone at Gencon. I hope you, Roy, and Kris have fun away from the kids for the weekend! :)

Well, I got my orders from my lovely bureaucracy that I have to venture to Selbyville, DE next week. So, I will be staying home. I have no idea if I can make the TN tourny as my slated hours for that week are on Night Shift. This means that I have to take a full vacation day to get a ride to TN instead of just leaving after work.

So, have fun. I hate to miss the old town.

I'm leaving tomorrow (Friday) for North Carolina. This is going to be my third Regional. Can't wait.

Great turnout, though surprising about the lack of Sith.
