Hi guys

Here's the thing. I've never really used reinforcements on a regular basis. I know that Lobot especially is almost obligatory when playing at a competitive venue or when attending tournaments. The ability to bring in various reinforcements to counter your opponents tactics are invaluable. But i'm part of a pretty casual playgroup, so i haven't really used Lobot that much.
One day though, i was playing my Mandalorian/Jaina SotJ squad which does pretty well mostly, and my opponent had made a Yuuzhan Vong squad with Shimrra, Nom Anor, a Shaper and a lot of YV Workers. I had to be adjecent to attack him most of the time, so my squad was literally blown apart from self destructs.
Looking back on that match, i think that a single piece (maybe two?) with It's a Trap could have won me the game, and that's when i saw the light. I'll be fielding Lobot more often now.

But what tactics should a player be ready to counter? And what pieces do you put in your reinforcements-box?

Great question!

Some that come to mind (for Lobot):

Gha, Mice, R7, Uggies, Rodian Brutes, MTB, bodyguards, BBSV, TBSV, Treadwell, Jawa Scavenger, Keldor, Salacious Crumb, Wicket, Rodian Trader, ASP-7, Jabba, Lando DS, Bomo, IG-86, YVH 1 Droid.

Best counter for Nob Bombs is a Rakghoul!

I only recently heard of this strategy, but it is hilarious. Just be careful to not get that initial rakghoul sniped, or you are in deep trouble.

Yeah, it is a fun strategy. All your Rakghouls are 0 points. I forced my opponent to waste Cad Bane to kill 0 points. Nice breathing room for a turn.

Is it a specific counter to Bombs or just (cheap) swarms in general? The Rak still must defeat the bomb character; Self-destruct bomb does not trigger Rak disease.

It's considered a counter because the Rak's disease will trigger before the Self destruction does, so your rak takes no self destruct damage and you get another!

Citation? I don't get how Rak disease prevents Self Destruct from affecting the attacking Rak.

Self destruct still works so the attacking rak takes 20. Rak has 30 health so he still lives and after the explosion you get a new rakghoul with 30 who keeps daisy chaining new rakghouls.

But the best way to play the YV bombs are to attack, miss, then blow up. That method does not generate a new Rak.

True, but a good player won't put his one and only Rakghoul in a position where that can happen.

Haha the Rakghoul is a neat trick, i'll try that next time and see how that goes. Otherwise, i think i'll go with a couple of Treadwells to get rid of his stealth. If i play against anything else, i can just pick a Human Bodyguard, a Caamasi Noble and a Mouse Droid.

What i really need though, is a mandalorian with either disruptive or it's a trap :)
