...what's the point? Really, I mean, what's the point? He's a pilot. Great, the only CE that currently affects pilots is on *ta*da* Wedge Antilles.

Inexpensive, yeah, mobile, yeah, evade, yeah, all good, but I never count on making saves to...well...save my characters...and his attack is really, really, low.

All I'm saying is that there better be another character in the near future who affects pilots or I'm going to be asking, again, what's the point?

Character to affect more pilots.....maybe Captain Han Solo? (since he did fly in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE HE WAS IN - Even Air Force One :))

At first, I didn't like this new Wedge. Upon further inspection, he may yet have a place in some of my Rebel squads. He should be a solid scrub killer that is a nuisance to kill.

Others that I think could be made to affect "Pilots"

Zev Senesca (possibly snowspeeders too)
New Ackbar
New Lando (that would also give Nein Pilot too  )
Red and/or Gold Leader

Wow, really hard to imagine another Pilot CE coming out in the future...

If anything this should signal you that one is coming.

Agreed he has no point...yet. I bet there'll be a new Pilot CE in the near future.

Except that he is only 13 points. His stats are very good for that point range. Outside of that he pretty much sucks.

It really makes me think we'll get a Garvin Dreis in future. Maybe alongside with Jek Porkins 8)

There has to be a new pilot commander in the next set. Mabe a rebel lando, or nein mabe? The charcter with the Piliot CE won't be

: a luke ( considering a pilot version of him was just made )
a Wedge ( same reason )

So that leaves a lot of options.

Wedge sucks for now. I like a cool mobile attacker, but he's basically a defensive quarren assasin for now.

That's actually not a bad point. For 1 point, Wedge gets 20 more HP, 4 more Defense, +1 Attack, Grenades, Evade, and Avoid Defeat. The only thing the Quarren has over him is Cunning Attack. So, if you're down to 13 points left in your squad and you want a Mobile shooter, even without a Pilot bonus, Wedge very well could be a better option than the Quarren Assassin. Interesting observation there.

It's power creep!

But honestly he's not too bad if you think about it like that.

Red leader!!!! The perfect pilot commander!

I find in a lot of my rebel squads i hit the last 20ish points and i do not know what to do. I need activations, so i dont want to blow it on one figure. My first thought is usually the WFF and filler ugs, but i never really like having just one. Wedge might be a good choice for only 13 pts.

Hes a great fig for the Rebel Leader as well. Spotter +20 on a 13 point figure with evade and avoid defeat? Nice!

When I first saw the set list I thought that he was just going to be another Nien Nunb, but with Pilot. After reviewing his stats (something that I really did not do because I was too busy checking out all of the other, more powerful characters) I think that I really like him. He is cheap and loaded with abilities that will make him a pain to get rid of.

His attack is not too bad and he should be a great fodder killer. Plus, he has grenades to use against the higher defense pieces.

he's a great meat shield when you need him to be.

Stick him infront of the droids so they are forced to shoot him unless they shoot something behind (like luke or leia) and then have the droids draw fire.

The fact that he has mobile means he will be useful until he's needed to do this.

He's also 10 dmg so you can put him with a virpine tech for some jolt action.

Grenades are just a bonus.

I think part of my being down on him is that i am know for repeatedly failing saves except when playing DPR, and i do not think i have ever made an avoid defeat save even with CS Yoda.

I have the same problem. When it comes to making saves I stink big time. That's why I'm concerned with the new Rebel Vanguard. He is going to destroy me!

That sounds like a great use for him. Sound to me that I need to get my ishi tib scouts out as well...

Seriously why is Rogue so hard to spell??????????

people have difficulty becasue the u after the g alters the emphasis on the o (i.e roge would be pronounced rog). The U has no effect on the g and the e isn't pronounced.

Thus when people try and spell it phonetically they put the u after the o because thats where the hear it should be.

English is a noutoriously unphonetic language and these problems are prevalent.

Its odd that putting the u before the g alters the sound of both the o and the g.
So its sort of excusable.

However what i can't excuse is gernades instead of grenades.
That's just not even speaking properly. Its akin to Bush's Nucular instead of Nuclear. Blatant stupidity. See, Its all Bushs' fault, everything is, so i'm told.
