And up in the PACNORWEST, it is not even raining. Which is very odd, but it could be getting ready for the sunny days of February before the rain returns.

In Cincy we were welcomed to sleeting rain this morning. Frozen surfaces are loads of fun! Then all day we've had regular rain on and off, and suddenly it's going to get colder and colder until we have snow, and then it'll freeze even more, so even more frozen. I'd much rather have regular snow than the ground all frozen, lol...

I recall growing up in South Dakota that was the best. Nice coating of powder on top of the layer of ice...something about cat poo on a hot tin roof.

Just got off the phone with my mother-in-law. With all the cancellations at Midway and specifically Southwest, there's no chance of me getting up to Idaho this weekend to see my daughter's baptism...:(

Day 3 at Matt Peterson's house, can't leave, car is snowed in, still white out, and Erin said there is a drift that currently covers our garage doors at home.

Man, after 3 hours of hard shovelling this morning, it feels like every muscle in my body is made of pain! We're not getting as much snow as some of you, though.

I cleared 4 driveways without using one tank of gas in my snowblower.

Made it home, after about 45 minutes of digging out the car, then a 2 hour drive (usually 45-1hr), and then another 2 hours of shoveling at home to get our driveway clear. Needless to say, this is the most snow in one day that I have seen in my lifetime. We cannot see over the drifts and piles by our driveway, the snow from the roof of the garage is 3 inches from touching the snow from the ground, our deck rail (about 3.5 feet tall) is completely covered, and our 4 ft bushes in front of the house seem to be missing. Needless to say, it's a lot of snow. But everyone is safe, I made it home, and the power is working, so all good things. I think tomorrow, Will and I will head outside for a Battle of Hoth.

Man, we've gotten hardly any snow here in Dover. At this rate, I'll never get enough money to get to GenCon...

It was a nice cool -27 degrees Farenheit this morning. And yes, more snow is expected this week. We had about a foot of snow over the weekend, and they had to close down the interstate after 150 cars got stranded and couldn't be reached by emergency crews for 10 hours. Yeah its bad....
