These were the trophies for the Lansing game on 16 Jan.

I've got the LED's working. Look for a future picture of the large arch with green LED's.

Thanks

I took first and the trophy that I made is sitting above my fireplace.

They are painted with the cheap paint from Jo-Ann's, sealed with Winwax (good for the Oak) and then a light coat of Testors Dull Coat (to cut down on the shine).

Great idea Eric. Much more unique, memorable and I'm sure cost effective than boosters for prize support. Perfect place to display the championship squad or just your favorite units.

What's the make/where did you get the scenery?

It's dental plaster cast using the www.hirstarts.com molds.
I've been buying the molds for the last few Gencon's. Since I'm putting all that time into making them, instead of mounting them on hardboard, I mount mine on oak.

Those are super cool!

Any way I can commission something (full trophies, painted but not mounted, unpainted and unmounted, whatever) for our Regional?

Sure. What did you have in mind? Take a look at the www.hirstarts.com site. I have all the sci-fi molds and the dessert floor mold (4th place prize).

I'm working today on a 3x4 death star piece with LED's (first time). I'll post some pics soon.

When is your regional?
