Okay, so since we are about to receive The Force Unleashed and the Hoth Battle Pack, I think we as a Star Wars Minis community need to come to a consensus on something trivial, yet relevant.

Whoever made the original choice to decide how many "official" characters, promos aside, were considered for a full collection counted the extra stormies and scouts in the Attack on Endor pack, bringing the count to 425 with 7 full sets, AT-AT, and AoE. So, are we going to up the total to just 487 in the next few weeks, counting TFU and only General Veers, Hologram and Blizzard Scout 1, or 502, that being doubles of some unique rares previously released. I say we stick with 487, which gives us all the ability to trade off/sell the extra Vader, IC, Cowboys Han & Luke, etc. from our Hoth Packs. I want to be a collector, but don't want to sit on a double of the same character when those figs can go to good use filling a set of The Force Unleashed. If you don't have an opinion on the matter either way, that's great. I just want to get a concensus from the rest of the full collectors.

LOL

Funny man...

I'm planning to sell/trade off the extras from the HPB when I get it, but then again....I'm not a die-hard completionist either.

hmmm I think it should also only be for the new pieces contained in HBP. But then again I have a full set at this time.

I plan on giving my repeated rares to my nephew. He loves it when I give him my repeats.

Yes, correct, but they were all reprints. The Hoth Battle Pack having two new exclusive unique characters is why I bring this up. But I'm guessing you agree with me :)

I voted 487 since Veers and the Blizzard 1 are the only non-repeats...

I don't even count the AT-AT or AoE. Just the normal 60 piece sets.

I've been struggling with this. I don't have leia hoth Commander, but I see her online for real cheap. Do i order the BH leiah just because it has the BH logo on it or do I just wait for the Target one? Its the same peice!!

I say 487 all the way.

Actually it's already been decided, apparently. According to your own initial post, Attack on Endor was counted. It was 4 reprints (1 with a new paintjob and some carrots stuck in the guns). Therefore by this account we must count R&E, the new starter, and every fig in the Hoth set.

But I personally don't count Attack on Endor (420 club had it's own humorous innuednoes).

So therefore I will be calling it the 482 club.

From a collector's standpoint, you have to count them all since they have different names on the base, don't you? If you are a non-completist then I don't think you care. I for one am excited to get the Hoth pack just so I have a round based Vader to sell to the Square haters

I went with 502 and ignore the R&I set as it was completely reprints (like the promos). Don't count SSB either. Even though most of Endor and Hoth sets are reprints, not the whole set and some are now on different shaped bases. I'm much more of a completest collector, so I look at the set as all counting. Otherwise, you can get into the issues of reprints in different poses, etc.

487. Don't really like the odd number, but do not count the reprints unless they are uniquely numbered.

I'd go for all the way (not that i'll ever see a full collection).

Darn shame it comes out at 502 not 501 :D

Did a little count.

I want to know the true number of NON-REPRINT minis we have.

I am talking about unique sets of stats (not unique figs), so in other words; count each variation of Vader, but only count stormtroopers once.

We have 8 full sets of minis. +1 AT-AT, + Hologram Veers and Blizzard Scout 1

AoE was all reprints as was Rebels and Imperials. So is the rest of the Hoth battle pack (minus the 2 previously mentioned)

So the count is 483 minus all the reprints. That is our actual mini count in my opinion.

Here are the tallies (let me know if I missed something)

Rebel Storm: 3 reprints (2 Stormtroopers, 1 rebel trooper)

Clone Strike: 4 reprints (1 clone trooper, 2 battle droids, 1 super battle droid)

Revenge of the Sith: 12 reprints!!! (2 clone troopers, 1 clone trooper commander, 2 battle droids, 1 bodyguard droid, 1 destroyer droid, 1 neimoidian soldier, 2 super battle droids, 1 utapaun soldier, 1 royal guard)

Universe: 4 reprints (1 clone trooper, 1 battle droid, 1 super battle droid, 1 stormtrooper)

Champions of the Force: 1 reprint!!! (1 sith trooper)

Bounty Hunters: 0 reprints!!!!

Alliance vs Empire: 13 reprints!!!!! (1 elite hoth trooper, 1 rebel commando, 1 rebel pilot, 1 rebel trooper, 1 heavy stormtrooper, 1 imperial officer, 1 scout trooper, 1 snowtrooper, 1 stormtrooper, 1 stormtrooper officer, 1 gammorean guard, 1 Nikto soldier, 1 tusken raider)

The Force Unleashed: 3 reprints (1 elite hoth trooper, 1 snow trooper, 1 stormtrooper)

Rebel Storm: 57
Clone Strike: 56
Revenge of the Sith: 48
Universe: 56
AT-AT 1
Champions of the Force: 59
Bounty Hunters: 60
Alliance vs Empire: 47
The Force Unleashed: 57
Battle of Hoth 2

If my count is right - we now have 443 individual minis.

Are YOU a memeber of the 443 club?
