I was wondering about the benefit of the Trooper ability it had "Counts as a character named Mandalorian Trooper"

Is this just for future use, or did some sort of synergy from another character get cut out with this ability being left intact? I figured there would be something more to it since the original preview (before the whole set was revealed) and had been wondering.

It currently means nothing. Who knows what the future may hold.
