I just got an email from Kickstarter requesting my address. I assume I should just ignore this as my point man has my address? Just wanting to be on the safe side here.

Probably a good idea to put in your address info just in case, but there is a field at the bottom which asks if you are a pointman or not. Fill in that you are NOT a pointman (if that is the case), but that way your address is still captured just in case the unthinkable happens and somehow you don't get your set.

I, too, am new to SWMiniatures, and am really starting to enjoy it.

With news of you guys creating new cards (TOP NOTCH!!), I would like to donate and inquire if I can receive a set, too.

I see that 12/15 is coming up quickly. Is it too late?

Thanks-

kheops123, at this point what you need to do is find a Point Man for your area. The thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10003
So Dean will send the set to whoever the Pointman (along with all other sets for your general area) is and they will get the set to you. If you are not located near anywhere, you'll need to declare yourself a Pointman for your area and list however many sets you need (and if you choose that option, please only try for 1 set per person because we are limited).

Do I need to just donate via the Kickstarter or something else?

You can't donate via the Kickstarter anymore, as it has closed. Are you trying to get a set, or are you just looking to help the effort for covering the shipping costs?

If you're looking to get a set, I'm not sure what the process is going to be for people who were not involved in the kickstarter or already covered by their Pointman. It's quite likely that there will not be any left (we had higher interest than expected). But you will be able to download a PDF of all the cards very soon here, and then print them out for yourself.

I would just keep an eye on things, and if Dean has cards left over, I'm sure he'll announce it.

Just click the 'Donate' button at the bottom of any page on the forums, and use PayPal to give however much you feel like giving!

Or if you are like me and don't really have Paypal as an option, you can just take up a collection and have someone in your group (most logical choice is the pointman) to send the money to Dean directly.

Sound as a pound (before the global economic crisis and the subsequent plummeting of the pound sterling)

Thanks for the help.
I shall crack out some donations :)

I know it's been a long time, but a little inconvenience known as life seems to be getting in the way. But I'm back now.
Just reporting that I received my V-Set in the mail courtesy of Chris Pulis (darthjawa). They look awesome, guys. I really love that they're laminated right off the bat.
Since I'm the only one in my crew that has a V-Set, I was wondering if I may have permission to post the cards in an album on Facebook profile to show them off -- and promote them as well.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just did not want to step on any toes in a copyright sense.
Feel free to have a look-see at the album.

You do realize that they are available in PDF form on this website for your friends to download, right? That way they can print them for their own use.

I do know that, but a lot of my people may not. If people ask where I got it, I'll just direct them to the website. :)

Is there a PDF for the set list? The link to the set list just sends me to this page, which is not linked to a PDF that I can get a hard copy.

Still Waiting for the "actual" set to come in the mail, but my brother and I play tested the new set last night...
All in all I like a lot of the new cards, we did New Republic vs. Sith, with the new republic led by the new Jaina, Sword OTJ and the sith led by the new Revan. My only complaint was that the recommended min for the Exar Kun Dark Spirit is the Exar Kun figure, which kept messing me up when I looked at it. In the end we ended up putting out an extra Anakin- Force Spirit fig awith a couple touches of Red Spray paint on it to use as Exar Kun. This way when you look at the fig you know it is a spirit and not a fighting piece at a glance.

BTW- The Jaina Rocks.

Thanks Dean and everyone else who made this set a reality!

Quick question: How long should it take for sets to start arriving in the UK?
Just curious as I've not received any emails since the Kickstarter confirmed it was taking my payment back at the start of December

Were your sets going to the UK pointman? If so, I believe he has all the sets that were coming to him, and is in the process of sending those out to the right people. So you should be getting them soon.

If they didn't go through the UK pointman, it could be a couple weeks still at least, as Dnemiller is just now getting around to shipping out all the individual card sets, due to the holidays, and such.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw your post in the other thread. :)
