Does anyone remember the Pojo SWM site? Apparently its still up, but hasn't been updated since the day Wizards announced that they were no longer going to continue the game (Jan 29, 2010). I used to enjoy checking the site to see which mini they chose for the Mini of the Day. It was interesting reading different peoples views on figures. I also loved to see what they chose as the Top 10 Minis of the Year. I'll miss that this year. There were also some good articles on the site. I would love to be pick up where they left off, but I'm not the best writer. Is there anyone else who would be interested in doing something like that on gamers?

Roy

I remember that site. I still have it on my Favorites; I loved reading the 'mini of the day' segments.

We could start a Mini of the week to make it last longer!

Pojo was always a pretty cool site for resources between different games, I liked the SW section a lot, and my little cousins used it for pokeyugiomagiclix.. or whatever they play lol

well even mini of the day wasn't every day. but yeah I think it would be cool to start stuff up like that on gamers. It would certainly help build up a little traffic or more awareness anyway.

I would suggest picking up where pojo left off for Mini of the Day. Continue with more from GAW, and then the following sets as well as DOTF. After that fill in the gaps with pieces that never got a spotlight, as well as revisit some pieces.

the pieces to revisit being ones that are directly affected by the last few sets but mostly DOTF. a mini of the day to recap on the Yuuzhan Vong pieces of Yesteryear would be good as an example.

I'd love to get involved with reviving the Pojo style traditions here at Gamers. So if we get something like this in full effect count me in for sure.

One of the main content drivers for pojo was a guy called Sithdagon, who I believe has the name on WotC, but I've no idea if he is active in the game. Fool also used to do a 'Weekly Fools' here, and might be someone else you could contact to get something like this going.

Pojo's was the site that introduced me to the idea of different minis being better than others, synergies and creating squads to certain point levels.

If it weren't for Pojo's I would never have found gamers or bloomilk and really gotten into the game. I remember the days when I would just throw any old minis together and hope it would do well. I would love for there to be a mini of the day segment somewhere, with a picture of the card and mini to see.

I suggest starting one of your own :) Gamers would be happy to host something like that again. It actually works best coming from a non-competitive player, as the "assumptions" are not usually there. Kind of gets that "discovery" sense to it.

Plus I'm sure going through a process of thinking about minis and comparing would benefit any type of player overall. Sithdragon mentioned that a couple of times in the past.

Let me know if someone wants to try a segment of their own and if I can help with hosting it etc, happy to put stuff on the front page, make you a sticky, etc.
