I don't think the Star Destroyer Officer is that bad. He can benefit from A&E Tarkin for an extra attack and will bring in the Navy Troopers for a change from always running stormies. May not rock the meta world, but good for scenarios. May do well with Ozzel, too. As far as the preview, didn't anyone else notice the tidbit about the Navy Troopers:

Quote:
"Therefore, this piece is best deployed in support of Imperial Navy Troopers, especially when used in combination with the troopers' synchronized fire ability, giving them extra chances to use their bonuses to combine fire."

Looks like they will have a +6 for combined fire like the SBD - if it works the same this time. A bit more to add to the 'half' preview.

I'm liking the Juno option for Rebels as well - very situational figure, but cheap enough to throw in especially for 150 or more squads.[/quote]

Okay, I know it is going to happen so many times, so I'll just get it off of my chest right now for all of eternity.
--"Why isn't Juno a pilot?"
--"Is Juno supposed to be a pilot?"
--"Why was the Pilot Special Ability left of off Juno's card?"
--"Will we expect errata on Juno to be a pilot?"

Did I forget any? Okay, now that I got that out of the way.

I guess I'm like most everyone else. These two pieces are okay, but nothing game breaking. Sorry, I'd rather take Wicket and R2-P0 than Juno and whatever.

For everyone thinking that Ozzel will help out the Officer and his pals, well, we'll all have to see about that.

Indirectly only. And then only with the help of another guy.

What hint? You have the stats for Ozzel?

Juno is a bit of a dissapointment. She was my top "wanting to know her stats."

She'll go down fast and hard unless you hide somewhere in a closet, and then she's just useless. Han with Princess Leia can take her down with one shot.

For someone possibly instrumental in redeeming Vader's Apprentice, I was kind of hoping for something more.

Still, she has Accurate and Disruptive, which are both good. And she's only 8 points. Much easier to take her loss than Zuckuss at 22 points.

The commander looks good, if you want to build a squad around the Navy Troopers, which, of course, we have no idea what they are like.

Not ground breaking pieces by any means, but they should see play. And that is what's good about them.

Juno will be a future rebel mainstay at such low cost. Great counter to B&B. I'm liking the direction of this set so far.

I want to know about Ozzel!! No fair

this was great; why do pilots always get screwed out of their chosen profession?

but that gives me a great diea

You guys are horrible.

But yeah, I guess the lack of Pilot thing is probably what ticks me off the most about Juno too. I haven't looked at the wotc site to actually see the preview myself, but does the description about her character actually say anything about her piloting Vader's Apprentice around? Maybe they just goofed up the preview. :(

The site specifically says she is a pilot and flies the Rogue Shadow. Someone dropped the ball, I'm gonna say. Nien Nunb is a bit different, because he just assisted by being the co-pilot of the Falcon. Juno is a pilot by trade and profession. Ridiculous!

My thought on Juno is that she is a blaz(e') piece but brings some crazy good stuff to the rebels. Not only is there double disruptive, but R2PO can draw fire and chewie can BG one or both. Commander based squads are going to be harder and harder to make.

Also it kinda puts a crimp in the hopes of making old peices better since it is usually done with CEs. Hope the OR and Seps get this kind of love when their turn comes up in the sets.

I think Juno will have a place in a lot of Rebel builds, and I love the fact that they made her abilities and price completely unlike any prior character - she fills a unique niche. I'm sure she would have found a spot in my Landspeeder squad, probably by replacing R2-PO with R2 and Juno, saving 2 points and gaining an activation and a little bit of firepower - definitely worth it.

A tiny bit of Accurate Shot is nice too - great for making the enemy Ugnaughts keep their heads down.

Han Solo flys the Millenium Falcon. Why don't any of the versions of him have Pilot? :)
