Hi all,

I'm new to SWM. I really like how easy it is to make customs for the game.

I've been trying to write a power to represent a Changeling/Shapeshifting power. I have three ideas:

The first "Shapechange" idea is a shapeshifter taking defensive advantage of combat confusion to mimic allies, but a character that isn't moving can ascertain which character is truly the enemy.

The second "surprise attack" is a shapeshifter being able to take offensive advantage of mimicry because the defender hasn't seen the threat in action.

The third is imitating a commander to be Disruptive.

Since I am a noob, I appreciate your feedback. :)

Mystique
Points: ???
HP: 90
Attack: 11
Defense: 19
Damage: 20

Unique

Mobile attack

Shapechange: Cancels an attack made against this character. Ignore this ability if the attacker did not move this turn. (Save 11.)

Surprise Attack: This character gets +4 attack and +10 damage if the defender did not have line of sight to this character at the beginning of this turn.

Disruptive: Enemy commander effects have no effect (on enemies and allies alike) within 6 squares of this character.

You know for a small scenario we run here someone asked me to come up with an Ooglith Masque special ability that actually worked for the character and not someone else. The best I could come up with was: Non-conditional attack modifiers such as Jedi Hunter and Bounty Hunter do not apply to attacks directed against this character. Thus Cunning and Opportunist still do.
