i noticed alot of people like to use these based on info from these forums and many others, i guess my question is why? mind you, i am very very new to this game and dont know many good team combos as of yet.

my theorys thus far are this, they are cheap, good to maybe lock a melee opponent into place so a ranged guy can get a couple of xtra attacks off........

other than that i dont get why they are so popular. any tips and reasoning would be appreciated

1) They blow things up! You gotta love that. ;) Seriously, it is very cheap door control to keep you opponent from locking you either out or separating your squad.

2) They are 3 points. You gotta love anything that is cheap. They can be used to really get your activations up if you need to.

3) As you said, smart players can learn how to jam up shooters or block paths of melee characters. It can be hard to do, but can be really helpful.

Sithdragon pretty much hit all the best things. Simply put, they're the cheapest filler in the game for getting yourself a couple more activations, and they can blow up doors, which prevents your opponent from Overriding you into a room.

Trust me...getting locked by Override into a room is annoying...I know from recent experience.......What? We were playing Faction Pure and I didn't have any door control. :(
