I say Mygeeto would be cool map to see, mainly cause it was one of the best planets to fight on in Battlefront 2.

I voted.

I just want to say the Smuggler's Base map, seen here, I hope,

http://the-holocron.com/index.php?optio ... info&id=57

is an outstanding map. There are 4 ways across the board, yet most ways have lots of walls for cover. And the Gambit area is completely enclosed in one room, so you can't just hide and get gambit. If the other person if getting gambit as well, the minis will be in the same room. I like that, a lot. It's a great map, IMO.

Don't you get views each time anyone looks at it, including you. So if you look at it 10 times there are 10 views. Oh and i voted.

Lol, I just saw this thanks to Lex. A better Korriban would rock--the planet is an awesome setting, but the map sucks for anything but shooty squads.

my official stance on requests.....

I'm not above it, but It has to be something I want to do. For a while Alot of people wanted an underwater loacation. I just couldn't get into it. however I've done requests before.

best thing to do is ask :D

My club runs a lot of demo scenarios, both in stores and on gaming conventions. A twin (2 in 1) demo map (for beginners) would be perfect! :)

You don't need large maps and 150 p squads when you're trying to explain the rules for a beginner and fast scenarios might often work better. So a small map would be great and why then go for 2 in 1 (16x22 squares)? Make the map normal sized and just cut it in two parts (or make two small maps for download).

The map should have all basic features like walls, low objects, difficult terrain, pits and doors. The map should also have 3x3 starting areas (2 of them).

The map should be of well known movie locations that could easily be turned into scenarios with SWM characters. Locations and characters always attract new players and I think OT would work best.

Here are two suggestions:
Map 1: Hoth/Snow caves/Echo Base. Snow caves leading into the damaged Echo Base. Let a wampa attack our heroes or let Hoth Troopers defend the base against advancing Snowtroopers.

Map 2: Tatooine/Obi-Wan's hut. Let Tusken Raiders follow Obi-Wan and Luke or why not use the abandoned hut for a battle between Jawas and Sandtroopers?

edit:

I think I can whip up a 17X22 map I need a few weeks though. And It probably won't be my best map. But It will be good.

A 17x22 map would be great! :D
I'll try to help as much as I can (I think a simple Hoth themed map would rock).

Of course it will be good.

why don't ypu cpme with a general black and white floor plan, and I'll do the rest.

I actually have some stuff for Rhen Var(another Ice world) so it will come in handy for this one also.

I think your maps are great as well; you'll have a good home here where you can have fun making the maps instead of being berated for a wall placement. I also voted :) this time haha

Thanks! My last 3 maps Have been alot better, thant the first few Ithink. Thats why I'm fixing them up.

Looks like mygeeto and Kashyyk are in a dead heat. I'm interested to see how it plays out eventually.

i think polis massa would be cool, but mygeeto was very close. I loved the polis massa map on BF II and i think it would be a cool map for SWM. Very close quarters and an area where only vehicles and droids can go or something
