Bao Dor, Tech Specialist
Cost:30
HP:70
Def:16
Att:+8
Damage:20

Twin Attack
Destablizer Arm (adjacent enemies cannot prevent damage by any means from this character or allies)
Personalize Shileds (at setup chose 1 unique ally that ally gains shields 1)
Shields 1
Repair 30
Remote (Allied CE's are boosted to twice their normal Range)

The current Bou Dor really bites unless your fighting guys with shileds so i wanted his arm thingy to be usefull. Personalize shileds helps you protect one unique on your side and remote seemed like a good idea to me at the time of this post (3am). Input is wanted.

Helps if you spell his name right. :P Bao-Dur

I like the idea overall. Destablizer Arm is pretty powerful, so would have to be playtested some to see if it would drive his cost up higher. I like the idea of the Shields 1 and Personalize Shields though. That's fun.

Ya again 3am at the time lol. Ya ill play aronud with it a bit i figure 30 points on a guy that has to be adjacent to use his main ability is a pretty fair cost, his own shileds 1 will help keep him alive and granting that ability will help the ORs very fragile pieces cross the battlefield easier

I never really understood Twin Attack on Bao-Dur in the first place...
He was not really a great user of two weapons...more of a hard melee hitter with mediocre ranged skills.
I would suggest dropping Twin Attack in favor of Close-Quarters Fighting or Mighty Swing

Absolutely! I love 'em! And the cool thing is that all 3 of them fit his character really well. I'm not sure on his cost (maybe too high, especially since he's in the OR, and also since his stats are on the low end), but that's never been my area of expertise anyway.

Well i wanted to make him able to kill scrubs pretty well he can with twin, the destablizer arm is pretty awesome cause it kills evade/deflect/block form any means, but its limited to adjacent so its not an auto ability he has to be up in the fight. I also didnt want him to be too beefy but he does have shields 1 so he will hang around the fight for a little bit. Also granting shields to a unique is fun to keep Exile/Atton/Mira/Carth alive a little longer. And i couldnt think of what to do with Remote so i just gave OR its own version of Booming voice. 30 points seemed high at first glance i agree but making him too low would be a mistake too cause destablizer arm is so powerfull i might be able to lower him down to mid/high 20s and still be ok ill playtest him a little bit.

Yep, I hear where you're coming from. The character as you've designed him will certainly be useful and powerful, that's for sure. Here's where I was coming from about the costing issue: I just think that so many of the OR pieces suffer from low stats for their cost. Lord Hoth, Watchman, Mira, etc. All of these minis could be made much more competitive simply by improving their base stats, or else maybe dropping their cost a bit. As always, it's in the playtesting that the piece's mettle will show.
