--Cad's on a boat!--
54 Cad Bane
34 Nom Anor
33 Deliah Blue
27 Lobot
23 Nikto Gunner on Desert Skiff
8 R7 Astromech Droid
18 Advance Scout x3
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Lobot) 12 Garindan
(Lobot) 5 Caamasi Noble
(Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 13 activations)

My second attempt to find something useful to do with the Skiff. Nom Ooglith's the skiff, making it super-stealthy, which gives Cad cover, so he can go flying around on it to get good LOS on whatever he needs to. if you think your going to get up in their face, have Garindan go along for the ride to combine fire, and Cad can deal a whopping 110 dmg on his turn.

Deliah stays hidden away from melee to help repair the skiff if need be, or to Mobile Cunning Accurate Shot on something. The Caamasi gives Nom some moving cover, so he can try to get some good LOS.

Thoughts?

Looks fun. Might want to put a bodyguard on the boat though, maybe a human bodyguard in the reinforcements instead of Garindan.

Drop Garindan and filler for a Mistryl Shadow Guard, still SS, has paralysis, and built in Evade. And Melee Reach 2 is handy as wel.

Mystral would definitely work better than the human bg.

Does Melee Reach 2 work from aboard the skiff I wonder? Back to the Holocron, I go.

I think the squad would be better off if you spent the points for Deliah on two more Advance Scouts and then either Yomin Carr to give them all Spit poison, or use it for a YVJH. I think it would be a better usage of points, because I feel that the squad needs some more interference.

Yes, she would work, because you count Range +1 for everything on the skiff. So, basically, as long as the Skiff was adjacent to the enemy, then the MSG would be able to attack them. :)

I agree, the squad is going to need either more interference for the skiff, or a bodyguard for it. Human bodyguard does very little good, as the skiff will have SS, and the BG will not, so my opponent could just take him out easily.

I like the idea of the Mystral, but spending 25pts just for a bodyguard seems like alot to me, and she can only attack anyone if they manage to base the skiff.

Also, the suggested way of paying for the mystral doesnt work, as garindan is part of the reinforcements, which she cant fit into.

So, I went with the 'more interference' route, taking out Deliah and the R7, and putting in Yomin, 3 more scouts, and another ugo, and swapped the ugo in the reinforcements for a mouse, to help spread yomin's ce.

I still could, at this point, swap out Yomin and a Scout for the Mystral, which will lower the activations to 15, but give the boat more survivability, but also lower my dmg output. If I go that route, the bodyguard would ride on the skiff with cad, and Garindan would try to sneak up, and grant his bonus, hopefully to Nom shooting at a jedi w no evade, lol.

--Cad's on a boat!-- Version 2
54 Cad Bane
34 Nom Anor
27 Lobot
23 Nikto Gunner on Desert Skiff
19 Yomin Carr
36 Advance Scout x6
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Lobot) 12 Garindan
(Lobot) 5 Caamasi Noble
(Lobot) 3 Mouse Droid

Thoughts?

(199pts. 16 activations)

I like it, I just think it needs to be play tested, and see if the concept works.

Yea, now I just have to figure out a way to get the group to play 200, which is probably their least favorite.

Lately weve just been doing special type tournaments with some kind of restriction to limit squad construction. I could probably talk them into Sith, Mando, OR, Vong only, but there are a couple players without much of any of those factions, so it wouldnt really be fair(fare?) to them.

We had a 200pt tourney last week, and I played this. Only played in two rounds, and won both, but both matches were against newer players, so still dont know how it would fair against people who regularly play/ build competitively, etc.

Round 1 was against a new player who used Cad Bane, Zuckuss BH, VAU, and some other stuff, but I dont remember what. It seemed a little thrown together.

We played on my map (Death Star), and he started out above the docking bay, and I started in the room. Thankfully, he didnt notice Force Sense on Zuckuss til about halfway through the game. I kept the Scouts between him and the skiff, qand Thudbugged his VAU like 3 turns in a row, making him stay put at the center of the bridge over the pit.

I moved around, and kept the Camaasi in front of the skiff, giving me SS from Cad and Zuckuss and took out Zuckuss, won the next init, and shot up the VAU. He conceded.

Round two I played another newer player, using GOWK, map pack Ani, Comm Ahsoka, Rex, Dash, and some other stuff.

I got to start on my prefered side of my map this time, and started in the docking bay. I blew open the big door, moved my scouts into the middle into cover, and had the skiff hang back near the door, to keep t in cover, too. he moved through the pit area, into the above room. I lured him down towards me with lobot, who he killed, but gave me enough attacks to drop Ani, and later, Dash, giving me the win, cause he conceded too.

Third round, since there were 7 players, nothing in prize support I needed, and I was running the tourney, I took the Bye as a loss, and let the other players all duke it out.

I really wish we had had played each other.
My SS troopers with 40dmg death shots vs your SS exploding guys.

Would have been some serious carnage happening for sure. :P

Yea, I think it would have come down to "Can I keep the boat/Cad alive long enough to win?", lol.
