I know this question has been asked like 1000xs, and Ive been at least a couple of those, but I keep forgetting, as it doesnt come up much, so my apologies beforehand.

So, I use my rhakgoul to kill my opponent's ugnaught. I get a new rhakgoul, in that square.

1) This new one is unactivated, regardless of the activation status of the ugnaught when it died.
2) When my opponent kills this new rhakgoul, he gets the points for it.

Correct?

According to the Glossary if the new Rakghoul is defeated it does not count towards victory points. I'm not sure about where it's unactivated or not, it's not mentioned in the Glossary.

Glossary text wrote:
This character gets a +10 bonus to Damage whenever it hits a living enemy. The target can avoid this extra damage with a save of 11. If this character defeats a living enemy, you may immediately add a character named Rakghoul to your squad. This character sets up in a square of your choice formerly occupied by the defeated enemy. This character doesn't count toward the cost of your squad. If you are scoring points for defeats, or in a tiebreaker, defeating the extra Rakghoul doesn't score points.

New Raks are UNactivated and do NOT count for points. Otherwise, they wouldn't be worth playing. :P

1. The new Rakghoul is unactivated, regardless of what the "hosts" status was.
2. New Rakghouls do not count as points toward the victory conditions.

This was in the FAQ. Not real sure where to point you to now.

Yea, I was going to try to FAQ, but first thing I saw when I logged on this morning was the thread about the boards going down at wotc.

Thanks guys!

Search is your friend: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=4666

And I guess I know what my next project is when I get home, compile all Mini-FAQs I can find on WotC and make sure we have them all here. I'm sure NN has them somewhere as well...
