Alright, 3 ideas for my regional:

Momentum Jedi

YoBuck 51
Gen Skywalker 47
Dash, RS 28
Ferus 27
Panaka 23
R2, AM 9
Mas 8
Gran 4
Ugo/Brute 3
200

Map: Either Ravaged Base or Bespin

Question is do I play Ferus, Lobot, or a JWM? Ferus helps the fragile Gen Skywalker AND does damage at a good clip.

Gowk's Weapons

GOWK 55
Dash 28
Ferus 27
2xJWMs 52
R2, AM 9
171

Now I can do either Lobot or Lou's Support from his GMY squad of 5xMice, R7, 2xUgos. I like either Ravaged Base or Throne Room.

GMLS Levitation

GMLS 115
Ganner 29
Jarael 23
R7 8
3xMice
3xUgos
199

The debate here is map, I like Ravaged base but a the bottlenecks and multiple doors can hurt Luke's advance. So I was considering Throne Room or even Rancor/Muunilist.

Just looking to see if these squads can be honed/maximized.

Thanks for any comments/help in advance!

Hmmmph, none of these squads are ESB based ;)

Personally I like Kyp in GMLS Levi squads.

My personal vote would be for the GMLS squad because i think it is going to handle most squads fairly well. bad die rolls its gonna be closer, but good die rolls and you wont have many squads that can compete with it. I am liking the rancor pit as a map right now because you really do not have to worry about door control much. It really comes down to what you think you are going to see. Another thing people havent really commented on is force defense with GMLS. Look how muck of today's pieces that can nerf.

Yes, it almost entirely nerfs Mara, who seems to show up in almost every competitive NR squad, nowadays. And with FR2 he can do it a lot, when necessary.

Eh, if it's NR vs. GMLS, it sort of depends on the build. At the very least, you have Ganner use FP2 on Luke and then Kyle can hit him with Lightning. Or if it's a Han build, Han just shoots him up, and if you have Anakin too, a la Deri's build, then you have two pieces with FP2 (Ganner and Anakin). Very easy to get GMLS stuck in a position where he is either out of FPs by the time Mara is ready to Assault, or he's gotta blow FPs on Force Defense against Force Push/Lightning or LS Defense against Han's shooting him. I don't see him being THAT effective against most NR builds. Not to say it's impossible, but I don't think other NR squads are exactly GMLS' best match-up.

Now, the guys running B&B at Owensboro with Lord Vader and a ton of scrubs? They're just lucky they never had to play against Luke, as that's definitely a one-sided game, lol.

The Yobuck squad is strong, but if you decide to run Ferus/JWM, then you only have 9 activations, and even worse, you have very few swap pieces, which, IMO, is the worst part about it. Makes it very hard against Rebel builds in particular, IMO.

Didn't Brandon play Bryan? Maybe I'm wrong on that.

Yes, Brandon played his Lord Vader Squad against GMLS and won.

I did have Lobot in the squad instead of Ferus originally but switched to him due to the damage output and helping skywalker stay alive. It is hard to sacrifice him for activations but I could see the argument.

Sort of a quandry, activations vs HP.

EDIT: Obi Padawan would work instead of Ferus, down grade thw Gran to a Brute which leaves 6 points for two more brutes. Or just straight swap Ferus for Obi Padawan and a Rodian Diplomat.

I could drop Ferus for another attacker, maybe a Geno+two brutes. If I had more than just YoBuck and Dash being effected I could try something off the wall like commander Ahsoka + Brute. Rolling Cleave would help and with her stats +LS defense she would be a decent interference swapper since sh has her own Rolling Cleave.

I guess no one likes GOWK lol...

Yeah, true. Though I seem to remember Bryan saying he made a dumb move and allowed Leia to either get killed or too far away from Luke, and then GMLS failed a very high number of Djem so saves. Under normal circumstances, should make at least 2 out of 4 Djem So rolls anyways, then add some FPRRs to that. GMLS only needs 3 Djem Sos to kill Lord Vader.

Scourge is tougher since he can use LS Throw 2.
