OK, we've had a bot of some sort posting spam in the Galactic Senate forum section several times so far today. I've been moving the threads to the Bot Dump area (I think some one else may be moving them as well), but what I haven't been able to do so far is figure out how to block/ban the IP address these are coming from. Usually, you can track down a user's IP by clicking on the User Name and getting to it from there. But, the user names for these bots don't seem clickable. Is someone else banning them almost immediately?

well more likely they are using a exploit to post without actually registering as non clickable names means non member.

you can still dig out the IP the post was posted from by clicking post details Aaron, so i went ahead and banned one of em as it looks like they all were the same bot.

Well, it's just generally frustrating to be fighting off SO many spam threads the last couple days. They don't seem to be coming from any one particular IP address either, unfortunately. I have no where near enough website-building savvy to know how to stop this recent wave of issues. For now, I'll just keep moving the spam threads to the Bot Dump.
