Not much is know about the young Duros Jedi Orco Lonestar. What is known is that since the death of his master, this padawan has searched for his place in the galaxy. When still loyal to the Jedi Order, Orco has been questioning the jedi teachings and has become very arrgoant. He has since adopted the title Lieutenant General as he moves around the galaxy on his quest for understanding. He has been granted a leave of absence by the jedi council and the masters are very wooried about him thought they feel in the force the leave is for the best.

Seriously, Orco? How's He-man doing? Still hanging out with Man-At-Arms and Skelator? :)

If you don't know the answer to those questions, you do not watch enough Robot Chicken!

Yeah, um, I've had to re-work my character, since I forgot about the Feats we gain at Levels 1,3,6,9,12,15,18. D'oh! At least I saw it this morning, before it was too late to make the needed changes. He's good to go now.

Hey guys, I am sorry about this, but I will have to miss tonight's session. I am dealing with a sick child tonight who hopefully will not need to go to Urgent Care.

Bummer, Bryan, we'll miss ya.

Would you like one of us to run your character for you, or would you prefer for him to join in fresh next time? Maybe that's something to clarify with Dennis, though.

And remember, the rest of you, I'll likely be late tonight, so one of you is welcome to run my character in my absence (just don't kill him!). I hope to show up by 8:30 or 9:00 CST, though I really can't know for sure.

Oh stang is that tonight?

Just kidding.

And BTW, Orco Lonestar isn't hanging with He-Man anymore, not since he married Princess Vespa Daughter of Rowland and became King of the Druids. :P

Background:

Pane was the son of a wealthy corporate father and a physician mother. Although his father tried to get him to develop an interest in economics he eventually followed his mother's path and joined the medical profession. Pane was halfway through med school when the Mandalorian Wars broke out. Feeling bored he decided to enlist as a medic with the republic forces. Although he was inundated with patients it soon became clear that Pane's patients had a much higher survival rate then most of the other medics. It wasn't until Pane treated a wounded Jedi master that he discovered that he had been using the force to aid his patients recovery the whole time. Seeing a worthy canidate to add to the Jedi ranks, Durese master Ban Ebb petioned the council for permission to train him. Even though he was older then the usual apprentice the Jedi council granted permission as they assumed a healer would have a difficult time turning to the dark side. Pane spent the next several years through the Mandalorian and Jedi Civil war journeying with master Ebb and learning the ways of the force.

Don't I get bonus XP for mind tricking Mike into looking up www.hotithorianmammories.com on the computer terminal, instead of trying to figure out the plot?

That was great fun.... it is a shame e did not think of this sooner is the only downside. Whether it was the game or james screaming out his window it was hilarious.

Yeah I had fun, too. My favorite moment was when you said to Mike, "Is there something you want to tell me right now?" as you were questioning him about the murder.

My second favorite was, "Sorry James, in the time it took you to explain that to me, the NPC has already left the scene."

LOL.

Okay, here is the promised recap:

The PCs start the game aboard the Golden Manor, a luxury resort ship as big as any standard Republic cruiser. Dean's character (Janx) is the security chief. While on routine patrol of the crew quarters, he hears a commotion in the captain's cabin, and goes to investigate. As he enters the room, he hears what sounds like a person moving through the ventilation shaft. The captain and his 2 personal guards are on the floor dead. He radioes in the incident, and the first officer (who is now in command) immediately executes emergency protocols, which include dropping the ship out of hyperspace, contacting the Republic, and shutting down the casino tables. Everyone is asked to report to their rooms, and told that the delay is due to a mechanical problem with the engine.

Meanwhile, the Jedi on board sense the use of the Force and a disturbance in the Force as this occurs. However, they determine as they search their feelings they are in no immediate danger. Bill's character uses Jedi Mind Trick to try to learn the truth about what's happening, but the guards don't really know enough. Mike's character tries to hack his way through the terminal (twice, even once from the security chief's office).

Eventually, Dean decides to question the Jedi, and goes through the passenger manifest. When he sees the name "Orco Lonestar, he figures that has to be a jedi using a fake name - no way anyone would ever have a name like "Orco Lonestar" - so he begins the questioning with him. Afterward, he questions Orco's roomate on the trip, but learns nothing about the murder, except it was caused by the use of the Force (probably Force Grip), and oh yeah someone cut a man-sized hole in the ceiling with a lightsaber, which Orco and Payne are both carrying.

As Dean gets closer to the truth, the Republic cruisers arrive and the first officer bungles the investigation when he decides to send all of the people who have been cleared through survelliance and other means off the ship in transports to the Republic cruiser. At the same time, he tells the passengers the ship cannot be repaired quickly.
About 25 passengers, including all of the PCs, remain. Bodemaw's gungan minion panicks and begins insisting he didn't kill the captain, which alarms the other passengers - all of whom are corraled in the casino area. In the midst of the panick, two Sith Assassins try to take hostages to get off the ship, but are quickly spotted by the PCs and they decide, screw it, let's fight. This follows the resignation of Janx as security chief, and the Gungan throws a Cesta at one of the security guards, killing him.

As the PCs are about to fight the guards, a Dark Jedi Master ignites his lightsaber and tries to help defend the Sith Assassins for reasons that aren't really clear. The PCs, with the help of the security forces, overwhelm the three villains and the DJM, nicknamed "Skippy," is briefly interrogated. He says he was here to pay the captain for his access codes to the storage compartments - which only the captain has - in order to retrieve a data pad containing the itinerary of a Senate candidate. The data would allow him the opportunity to assassinate him. Janx kills the Sith and takes 3 other data pads with similar information off his corpse. He says someone killed the captain before they could complete the transaction, though, and doesn't know whom.

Orco then stumbles into the airlock by accident and in trying to help him get back into the main part of the ship, the Gungan mistakenly hits the "depressurization" button, which causes Orco to get shot into space. Oh wait, that didn't happen. Just kidding. :P

At the end of the adventure, the murder remained unsolved, and the PCs were surrounded by the first officer and about 15 security guards.

Well, crud. That must have been finalized after I left.

It was a lot of fun - I really like the crazy pubescent Jedi "general." And when Janx turned in his resignation. And when Janx interrogated my character - I guess I should have chosed "Deception" as a trained skill :)

Ok then, I am already plotting my next moves to garner that bonus XP :)

Here's a hint, it involves a cucumber, a thermal detonator, a bit of rope, and a mastiff. I just have to find the mastiff :)

I'm looking forward to our next session, whenever that will be. However, given Dennis' ice storm situation, I think it's a given that we're not playing this week either. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait another week or two if I want to hear James yelling out the window that he's playing his RPG.

You really had me going there for a second. I was wondering if that had happened when I was yelling out the window or when the 2 drunk pledges came over for food and annoyed me.

Well things are moving a lot faster with the power situation than the electric companies are indicating, so if we have power at the house by Wednesday, we can play. If not, well we will cross that asteroid field when we get to it. :)
