hello, I peaked in on your game for a few brief moments and noticed that people were rolling dice other than the two d20's...is this in the new edition of vassal or a mod to the game?

There is a add on that has d4,d6,d8,d10,d12,d20. I forgot who made the file.
Trevor is working on a mod that will let us play with 10 players.

Cool, where do I find this addon?

and I think it would be cool to do some rpg, but have never played it and dont have any of the books, so I would be worried about being lost most of the time.

Stunned by Cirdena's turn to the Darkside, Cel retreated into the Force, discovering the taint of the Dark Side within himself as well. Cel pledged himself fully to the Light, turning away from the life of the privateer and taking upon himself the title of Jedi Knight. He vowed to redeem Cirdena, but as she began to experiment with Sith Alchemy he feared she was lost forever, and left the party.

best way is to Skype with someone who has it and let them transfer it to you, its just a small file. Originally created by Yodarulz.

What did I miss? Who left the party? I had to leave last game at midnight EST because of work, the last ting I was present for was the beginning of the palace scene.

I don't have skype, is there a web location somewhere that the file can be downloaded?

on a second note, what kind of a learning curve is there for someone that doesn't have any of the books?

Go to Skype.com and download skype
Then on the 24th you can get the file and listen in if you want.
We start at 8 central.

Actually, as of this afternoon, that method of playing SWRPG on Vassal (ie, using the SWM Skirmish mod with the dice_ext file) has become outdated. I have just completed a project of several months, and it's ready for download.

More information on this thread:
http://www.swmgamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=11110&p=127465#p127465

EDIT: Also, I've set up our characters to work with the new RPG Vassal mod. Here's a link to my 4Shared site which has the _ext file:
http://www.4shared.com/file/nfTDZFN0/Jonnys_Campaign.html

If you're part of Jonny's RPG campaign, then please check it out before we play again. You'll find our characters in the "CAMPAIGN" tab, under the Tiles/Units-->Units section.

Let me know if I've got some of your character's info wrong, and/or if you'd like me to make some adjustments to your character's pic (or if you want me to change the pic entirely). If you let me know soon enough, I'll make sure that it is updated for our next Sunday evening session.
*** Take note that you'll have to place this file in a folder called "Star Wars RPG_ext" (ie, and not the "SWMinis_ext" folder, which goes with the other mod).

Post subject:  Re: THE GUNGAN'S SUNDAY RPG

Why is there a space for force points on our caracters, but not on the characters in the main file?

Post subject:  Re: THE GUNGAN'S SUNDAY RPG

Do NPCs get force points? I guess they do. I could adjust that easily enough. I'd just have to re-upload the file. Thanks for the catch. Hopefully I'll be able to adjust it tomorrow.

If they have heroic levels they do. But I have never seen a GM use them except on main villains.

Post subject:  Re: THE GUNGAN'S SUNDAY RPG

Most of the NPCs do have multi class levels so they do have force points. I dont use them that much.I like using commanders,talents/feats, aid another.

Post subject:  Re: THE GUNGAN'S SUNDAY RPG

Either way, it's a quick and easy fix. I'd rather get everything on-target right now when relatively few people have downloaded it, rather than a few months from now, when everyone already has it.

EDIT: Okay, it's done. Now everyone can download version 1.1 (the older version was 1.0), at the same link as before.

Please include all future bug reports and suggestions/comments in the other thread: http://www.swmgamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=11110&p=127465#p127465

Do you have to have the books to build charactors/understand the abilities, or is there a place on the web to find the info needed? I don't have any of the books so I am worried that I would be completely lost. From what little I have scene, it looks really fun though.

With this Sunday being Easter should we meet next Sunday?
I just never thought about.

As long as someone fills me in as to what happened, in detail, before the next game it doesn't matter to me.

I likely won't be around right away, though I might be able to join in later. I was hoping to give people a quick 10 minute skype tour of the new RPG Vassal mod, but if I have to show up late, then I guess it won't happen. I'd be fine with moving it back a week, if more people are going to be busy that evening.
