I tried the following tonight at the LGS and it did a lot better than I expected. thoughts?

Master Kota 55
Aurra Sing 37
Qui-Gon Jinn, JM 35
R2-D2, AM 9
Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 9
Bespin Guard/Caamasi Noble 5
----------------------------
150 pts 8 activations

Pretty straight forward, keep Kota back with R2 and Aurra to build up force points and give Aurra the stat boost. Qui-Gon uses his FPs for re-rolling init if I lose, and he slows down rushing Jedi. When Qui-Gon dies, his Force Spirit goes to Kota for Repulse fun. I can't decide how good this would be in general, but I think the chance for back-to-back force repulses could be devestating. Thoughts? any ideas to make it better or something I can do to improve it?

I would take qui gon and an uggo out for Boba enforcer. back to back repulses should not work if your op is not well... bad as evarything gets pushed out of repulse range(well walls may stop this bet mostly anyways) :Ewok: .

I like your squad. I've used Kota and Aurra together before and they make a great team. Kota takes an already great character like Aurra and makes them even greater. She becomes a beast with the 24 defense (28 defense in cover) and her base attack goes to +14 (and as high as +22 with careful shot and JH bonuses). Just make sure she is more than 5 squares away before Kota goes "nuclear".

I also like the Qui-Gon option because of his anticipation, master speed, and force spirit force powers. Your opponent will have a hard time ignoring him and when he does sacrifice himself Kota gets an additional shot at repulse.

@ Frost
I wasn't meaning that the opponent would be subjected to back-to-back repulses, rather I'd be able to close on them and get another repulse in a turn or two potentially. All the time Aurra has been poking away at them, so they're pretty well screwed, I hope. The one reason I wouldn't use Boba, Enforcer is because that would require me to lose another activation. If I were to drop Qui-Gon, the squad would look like this:

Master Kota 55
Aurra Sing 37
Lobot 27
Lando Calrissian, Dashing Scoundrel 18
R2-D2, Astromech Droid 9
Ugnaught Demolitionist 3
-----------------------------------------
149 Points, 6+ activations

first, why did you say sorry? nothing to be sorry about in what you said. Your critique is one of the reasons why I am not sold on this squad's viability. The second option may be better for competitive play, but I love the idea of getting use out of Qui-Gon. the second version has lower base activations, but Lobot will let me get up to 6 more activations in, so I think it is set there. What bothers me about the second version is that it completely lacks any sort of init control/mitigation that most every top tier 150 squad has in today's meta.
