Alrighty, quick 150 Republic idea. I have been trying to find a way to upgrade the classic YoBuck/Rex deep strike squad and this one I am quite happy with: --General, Captain, Padawan....-- 47 General Skywalker 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 23 Captain Panaka 22 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padawan 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 4 Gran Raider 6 Rodian Brute x2 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (150pts. 10 activations) Obi Padawan at potential +18 for 30 twice with Assault, Dash can have a +14 for 30 four times with Momentum/Opportunist, and Skywalker is always deadly with the ability to run 10 squares and put 60 on some thing. Lots and lots of Momentum! Thoughts? |

You don't have a "deep strike".... I suppose Anakin moving 10 is as good as it gets here (with a tow 12), but he's going to die after that in most squads before you will be able to swap. With this, I don't see an overwhelming need for Panaka. Your three attackers, don't have enough hps and defensive abilities to survive most very long, so the odds of being able to get them out safe with a swap is very low. I would spend the points on upgrading one of your attackers, or just going with another 20ish piece. |

True enough Bill. I also thought of putting in a JWM instead of dash or instead of Obi/Gran. That would give more staying power if I got rid of Obi but would sacrifice damage if Dash was dumped. Hard to say. Gen skywalker/YoBuck is the best 150 squad with Skywalker still IMO but I wanted to try to put more damage. I could drop and Obi for TBSV and Jarael but not sure that is worth it. |
