This is a squad I played in a casual game with some friends over the weekend. Probably wouldn't play it competitively, but I had a blast with it.

Queen Amidala=16.
R2 Astromech=9.
Captain Tarpals=20.
Gungan Artillerist X9=90.
Uggnaughts X5=15.

17 activations.

With Amidala and Tarpals, the artillerists gain mobile double cestas. Also, with rapport, the gungans only cost 10. I threw in 5 uggies to help with blowing doors and R2 for tow and override. I won all my games with this squad but I'm wondering which would be the best maps to use. I lost all map rolls and had to play train station every time.

Any suggestions?

well gungans are better than people think. I would try and work in rex or a SB. The downfall to Gungans are when they get based they are worthless.
I took second at the Chicago Regional with this and went 4-3 with it at Gencon didnt play very well. All my loses have been vs a speeder or Deri Cannon. I went 3-1 on thursday with it only lose was vs Deri.

I once played a Gungan squad, when KOTOR came out. I used the following:

Queen Amidala - 16
Tarpals - 20
2x Shieldbearer - 34
8x Artillerist - 80

I played just for fun, but since I didn't face any door control in the tournament I went undefeated. I had a blast, too, and can only encourage you to play Gungans competitively. They are that good.

I would probably drop one Artillerist for R2 or 3 Ugs, but the squad itself works very well. The Shieldbearers are invaluable really.
