very low on activations but yobuck is supposed to combat that.
You're gonna be swapping GOWK and Yoda back and fore. Yoda creams fodder and Obi swaps in to push or just absorb a beating.

will it work (new soresu rules assumed)?

The thing I would worry about is at some point, you will either have to leave Yobuck or Obi near your opponent, waiting to soak up a ton of attacks. You obviously can't leave Yoda there very long, but you'll also take a fair number of AoOs runing in and out of areas. Against a couple of the squads I've seen put together, unless you manage a couple of lucky Block rolls, Yoda might die from AoOs just from 2 sets of Galloping Attack. It's a matter of whether 4 attacks per round, maximum of 80 dmg per round, is enough to take out major opponent's pieces and win games. Stall tactic? Perhaps. But I don't see it winning consistently enough.

I think the game has left Yobuck behind. Most people I play with don't set up with a bunch of cheap activation fodder anymore because of Yoda. A more typical squad I would face looks like this:

55 GOWK
52 Jedi Weapon Master x2
28 Dash Rendar
09 R2, Astromech
06 Ugnaught x2

or this:

70 Luke and Yoda
27 Han Smuggler
18 R2P0
13 Kel Dor Bounty Hunter
09 General Dodonna
07 Senator Leia Organa
06 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

or this:
54 Kyle Katarn, JBM
26 Kel Dor Bounty Hunter x2
26 Kyp Durron
23 General Wedge Antilles
10 Luke Force Spirit
06 Ugnaught x2

I don't think your squad can beat any of those.
