Blue Man's Group (Empire 150)

Hi! Last night I played the following squad against a friend's San Hill Seperatist squad including Aurra JH,Sidious and Tyranus LotDS and i won both games. My preferred map was/is Throne Room. What do you think about it?

Blue Man's Group:

37 Thrawn
8 Mas
46 Noghri Commando x2
18 Calixte
23 Emperor's Shadow Guard (coz i didn't have a 3rd NC)
4 Gran Raider
5 Caamasi (for mobile Cover)
9 Uggie x3

Note:Please don't tell me to put some Storm Commandos in,because i don't have any.

You definitely have good synergy. The key point would be going first so the Noghris can get off their Double/Cunning/Poison.

One thing I might offer is getting rid of the ESG for a decent "cheap" non-melee piece. You said you don't have a Storm Commando, but what about Lando DS? He'll be good at cleaning up the scrubs from afar or at least whittling down the biggies as they advance to you.

I'm not too sure about the Noble, to me he doesn't really fit with the squad. I don't see a use of Mobile-Cover since you only have 1 Mobile character, the Gran Raider. So I'd rather get rid of the Noble for another Gran, which would be great for Thrawn Swap potential.

I forgot to mention that i'm collecting Imperials only (well, i have some Fringe figs) so there's no Lando DS,also.

Well, if there should be a "decent cheap non-melee piece" ( :wink:

) i could replace the ESG and the Caamasi (28 pts) for Jariah Syn and another Ugo.

other options for 28 Pts could be:
- Bossk BH, Ugo (but still Bossk's strengths are in melee kombat) (28 pts)
- an Imp Officer and a Kel Dor (27 Pts)
- 2 Kel Dor (26)
- a Noghri and 2 Stormies (26) (bodyguard for Thrawn and fodder)

What do you think? Any other suggestions? :?:

I like storm commando's with this setup

I'd go for the Kel Dor's, 2 SS shooters are good, and its good VS lancer/other melee.

I played the version with the 2 Kel Dor last Saturday on a Tournament in our LGS and placed 2nd!

The instant-init with both Noghri commandos worked perfectly and this is my final version:
