I played against this squad this weekend and it really surprised me how playable it actually was:

Garm 45 (Reinforcements: 29 Points used on Twi'lek Rebel Agent x2, Ithorian Commander)
Nym 48
Leia HC 19
Twi'lek Rebel Agent 9
Weequay Merc x 7
149 Points
He won map choice and his map was Cloud City. Very bad decision with absolutely no door control. I've got to say the 4 point zombie Weequays moving 3 squares to double attack at +9 for 20 dam was pretty sick, but I only let him do it once and I forgot my disruptive character was within six so it shouldn't have happened. Nonetheless, it got me thinking it was worth tinkering with.

He tried to use the use the Twi'leks to Spot for Garm, but again, I saw it from a mile away and never let him get it off. In 150 a squad really has only room to focus on one thing. Twi'leks are really never the best Spotter option.

So this is the optimized version I would have played, still not really exceptional, but it fixes some major flaws in the original design:

Garm 45 (Reinforcements: New Republic Scout 13, Elite Rebel Commando 16)
Nym 48
Leia HC 19
Ithorian Commander
Weequay Merc x 6
Ugnaught Demo
150 Points

The Ithorian is essential to the squad so he belongs in the base build. It also leaves Garm's reinforcments to adapt to any squad it may face.

The Gotals only benefit from Garm's CE when within 6 of Nym. Can be quite a challenge to keep him alive and utilize their Intuition. Garm's CE for the most part is wasted as well as Nym's Rapport. In this build it becomes more of an Ithorian squad, where Nym and Garm not worth their 93 points and are both better replaced by Han ST and a boatload more 10 Dam Melee characters.

True,

I tried this squad out today at 200 pts and used this:

Nym
Garm
ST Han
Leia HC
Dodonna
Elite Rebel Commando
Gotal Merc x3
Gran x2
Ewoks x6
Ugo x2

Reinforcements:
Ith. Cmdr (11)
WFF (14)
Rebel Trooper (5)

I ran it against a 200 pt. Mando squad with Fett, Ordo, Mando Cmdr, Supercommando, Gunslinger and Mando Trooper x2 in it.

I did just fine and didn't really use the Garm CE that much. I ended up finishing thr game off once I got Nym and the Gotals positioned to use the double attacks after my son had moved all his troops.

Hard to tell if it'll hold up with other stuff, but I'll certiannly try it out at 150 and 200 the next chance I get.

My son and I played on JC's Theed map.
