I think I found a keeper; you can read the tournament report here:

30 Han, Rogue
28 Luke, Hoth Pilot Unleashed
21 Admiral Ackbar
18 R2/3P0

I don't think it has enough damage potential. You have a total of 100 damage max from your shooters.

I do like it a lot though. Aurra is a good one here because of her high HP, but I'd drop Luke HPU and R2P0 for Luke LotLS and filler. This Luke gives you better damage output and also gives you 3 accurate shooters; not to mention his mobile attack. With Ackbar he nearly always attacks at a respectable number too. Just my personal preference though.

If you can play the game conservatively enough you should do very well though. Good build Boris.

I like Luke HPU better in this build, though I think you could drop R2-P0 for Lando Dashing Scoundrel. This probably plays a lot like a San Hill squad, without the drawback late in the game. An extra shooter like Lando really adds a lot to the damage potential of the squad. I don't like going without disruptive though. This seems like a workable base, and the counter initiative control is there, and the Disruptive is there. It seems like it could do very well.

Well, well. You mean you actually built a squad using the 'sub-par' Han?

Did someone build this for you or have you actually re-considered Han Rogues' usefulness?

As much as you argued with me on the Nyna thread in the general forum you seem have have gone backwards and constructed something that has everything you said wouldn't work against the new thrawn SS squads.

On topic, nice squad.

LOL Yeah I decided to give him a whirl, and the reaction at the store was pretty much... whoa, why are you playing him, he sucks, LOL.

I figured I should at least try him out before I wrote him off completely. He wasn't too bad. He plays about like most Hans I have used, plus he has Evade. He's no Han Cannon, but then again he's not 46 pts. either.

Thats pretty much what he is though. He's a support shooter (a pretty good one for taking out support and low defense pieces) more than a significant dmg dealer. He needs help to get the most out of him so you need to synergize with him. Something your squad expmlifies.

You've added ackbar who is a good (albeit old skool) accompanyment to him. By adding Ackbar you've synergized with both NTMTO by insuring Recon will have a use against a lot of squads you'll face (this boosts Ackbars worth) and you've also boosted his worst attribute which is his meger att score (so Ackbar gives back to Han). This makes Han much more worth his 30 points and solidifies his role in the squad.

He's not a han cannon although PL is a great person to run with him as he becomes a mini cannon of sorts. If you put him with PL, Obi FS and Yoda D he becomes a really reliable shooter but obviously thats a lot of points and its pointless to do this unless you have secondary uses for both PL and Leia it not worth it.

Did you build this as a counter to thrawn SS squads or was there some other reason for this particular build?

I read your tourney report. You have an odd meta your way. Lots of power squads, few figs with large HP and dmg. Still, some of them look like they could've caused you some problems so you obviously ran the squad well.

What was your map of choice?

Which maps gave you the most hassle?

Death Star. Mustafar is probably okay, too, but I wouldn't play on Mustafar at my LGS. It just feels wrong.

So far, none of them that I have played on have been tough to run this squad with. I have played on Death Star, Muunilist, Chancellor's Starship, Rancor Pit, and Ravaged Base.

I can see how RS Starter is a good choice...
I was wondering which of the JC maps might be best...?

I think I want to try this on the Mando Base...

That I can't say. I have JC's maps but we don't play on them at the store and my wife has "banned" this squad from the kitchen table (although she often plays B&B  ).
