I was thinking of trying out this squad:

Captain Rex: 33pts
Commander Gree (CW): 20pts
Kashyk Trooper X4: 36pts
Uggie Demo's X1: 3pts
Wicket: 8pts

8 activations total

I'm debating if it is better to have Kashyk Troopers rather than regular clone troopers. The greater mobile effect from Rex is the most benificial for the Kashyk Troopers since they already have double attack. Greater mobile doulbe attacking clones for 10 dmg at +10 attack is a good way to get rid of scrubs, and also for getting around force powers like deflect. Wicket is there to help when enemies come in close making the troopers have essenetially +14 attack, Rex have +16 attack and Gree having +15 attack. I think if you position the troops correctly without it being to crowded, it can potentially be a good squad. Captain Rex as always is great for damage out put with a possible 80 dmg at base of +12 attack.

Any suggestions on maybe substituting the Troopers for other clones? I've been kinda trying to make this squad the best it can be. I've wanted to make a Rex and Gree 100pt squad that can compete since the set was released.

Any help would be appreciated! :D

I was also tinkering with this idea at 100, and I came up with this a few days ago:

-- Elites and Cheaps --

Cpt. Rex 33 pts.
Kashyyyk troopers x 5 49 pts.
Czerka Scientist 13 pts.
DOOMBOT 9 pts.

My idea was to give the kashyyyk troopers twin and double with greater mobile. Then they AND rex have 4 attacks each. Rex also gains jolt, which is fun against unactivated enemies. The doombot uses tow cable, and ovveride is always great.

This is just my idea.

On to your squad.

I think for what you are going for kashyyyk troopers are better here. I think gree is not too effective in this squad, because with him, you have 53 points worth of commanders in a 100 pt. game. I don't think wicket should be there either, because by the time your opponent gets within 6 squares of 10 HP clones and your commanders, you're a dead man. Traps is not very useful or cautious strategy. I do like the fact that your build has more HP, but It's all a matter of prefrence of either squad really.

I see your point, and i think your idea of havinga czerka in the squad is a good idea, although the main weakness is the lack of attack power in the clones +6 attack. You aren't going to hit much with those stats and even though the double twin is a really good idea, i would really love it if the clones could hit something, rather than waiting for the all powerful vassal dice to give you a critical hit. I think your idea would work great with a 150 pt squad though and i'll have to sit down and creat one, cause it sounds really fun to play. Thanks! :D

No problem. I know 6 attack kind of sucks, but there's so many, it's hilarious.

Capt. Rex 33
Cmdr Gree 20
Kashyyk Trooper x3 27
Czerka 13
Gran 4
Uggy 3

8 acts
100 points

3 quad +10s! its fun!
