Darth Vader, CotS 50
General Veers, 21
Stormtrooper Officer, 14
Stormtrooper x3

Okay, so this squad is pretty close-knit. Veers gives Accurate Shot to the stormtroopers to take out Disruptive squads, Vader gives them +4 attack +10 damage if they miss, and Stormtrooper officer gives them +3 attack if they don't move.
So, if a stormtrooper misses, and he rerolls, he will have +11 attack and do 20 damage. A big problem is that the highest damage my guys can do is 20, not including the rerolling stormtroopers.
I know it's not all that good, but it's my first squad. What do you think?
Comments? Criticisms? Good pointers?

First impression: too many commanders, not enough followers. To be honest, Vader just eats up too many points of this squad for too little of a benefit. Also, his CE doesn't stack with the Stormtrooper Officer.

I would recommend dropping Vader and adding more troopers (there are several good ones in the new set).

Welcome to the game, BTW. :)

Thank you Boris, for the welcome and for the pointers.
Looks like I'm going to need to get some some Evo and Raxus Prime troopers, then.

Just for reference, I'm only using minis that I own, so I hope that lessens the confusion.
Vader, IC sounds like a great choice, but as for Veers, I really want something that can knock out disruptive pieces.

My personal favorite 100 point Storm swarm is seen in the squads to beat section of this forum. It works very well!

Veers is really a 200 piece. 21 points just doesn't do enough when you can get 4 more storms.

What figures do you have? That could help us help you make a solid imp swarm you could play.

Why would I laugh?

I think that you should use something like this:

Darth Vader CotS 50
Dark Side Marauder x2 44
Uggo x2 6

Now you can use Vaders CE to the fullest and dish out a possible 100 damage a round. What is really neat is your 340 HP on this squad. Not the greatest build out there, however it could work very well against many things.

If you want to build effecient imp storm builds at 100 I'd recommend you getting Piett and Vader IC. Those with 4 storms and a couple Ugs is quite lethal.

Keep at it!

I would recommend getting Piett as well. Then, something like this:

Veers
Piett
Elite Stomtrooper x4
Stormtrooper x3

At some point if you start playing more competitively you're going to want to have a couple of Ugnaughts or a Storm Commando for Satchel Charge.

In the meantime, this can be a great fun squad. Accurate + Opportunist puts your Elites at +12 and the Stormtroopers can combine fire to boost their attacks to +16, or you can attack with the Stormtroopers at +8 for 20 Damage if you prefer.

Good luck.
