This came up in our fun royal rumble format today. Naga is based to skyguy, sky has 40hp left naga has 100 left. Sky takes the AoO to get momentum and djem to do more damage before he dies. Atk hits and I said djem so save and rolled a 6 a fail, then I was asked if I was supposed to roll my poison save first or second and we couldn't decide if this was one of those things where I choose the order. Since it was fun we decided since I said djem so first that would be that save and then I rolled my poison save second and rolled a 17, made it so sky is still alive and gets his greater mobile momentum to do 60. But now I am wondering did we do that right or should I have made poison first which means I would have failed and died thus only getting the one djem so atk off. Does it matter which is first as long as I say which is which or do I have to do them in a specific order?

Poison is part of the damage step, so there was no choice to make. You have to make Djem So first, or lightsaber defense, before you can resolve damage. There is no simultaneous effect.
