The other thread didn't answer my question.
So far I have been doing Push as moving the piece as far as possible. But I was wondering when I push someone, does it matter which way I move them as long as their stop is farther than they started?

It should state on the card how many squares to move the target back. And to my knowledge, no it does not matter the direction they are pushed in, as long as it fulfills the requirements of the card (has to move away from pusher)

Hope this helps (and is correct)

Force Push

Q: When a character is pushed, can I move it around obstacles or characters to get it further away?

A: Each square of movement must be further than the currently occupied space. You must move the enemy character if a space is available. Beyond that, you may control which space to move the character into.

So as long as the way I move him, each square has to be farther away, I can move him any way I want as long at it remains further.
