Is there a mis print on the card and it only works for melee attacks, not any attack like the card says?

The glossary is correct. It is melee only.

The card is not misprinted at all. It does not specifically say that it works on ANY attacks. You should ALWAYS read the full glossary definition for abilities, regardless of how obvious the text on the card is. You never know when small details will be left off of the card to save space or such.

In this case, the Glossary text in the Rule Book that comes with the CW Starter specifically says that GOWK's Soresu Mastery only works against Melee attacks. In this case, the rule book is not contradicting the card, it is merely giving further definition.
