No. First he doesn't have the melee special ability which is required for the IC. Second his +10 Damage is added to the base stat so he is doing 20 damage while adjacent. The way it is worded does make it so that you can use parry, LS block etc against him though.

Actually it is VERY relevant because it is a +10 Damage bonus which means it increase the base stat and is not just added to it. The capital D versus the small d makes it so when he is adjacent he is making an attack a +20 base damage. Like what the Vong Shaper does. That also means that if you score a critical attack you would also get +20 damage for a total of 40 plus the poison save.

So then....if D-d is the difference (good job wizards...lol) how many characters have that? I never would have seen that, and I'm a rule hound. Props to them on the wording for the shaper, but D-d is lazy. I'm not going to do a query search for "D" in my mini manager (lol). So seriously how many pieces have I overlooked that modify base damage? thanks

Currently the Vong Shaper and the Genoharadan Assasin are the only figs that have abilities that change the big D.

Yeah! I double checked the card and it is a big D.. so it also increases the base damage. Good catch!
