So if I activate Loda he gets 3 force points, then can I dominate him and gain another 3? |

No, you don't get to benefit from 'Renewal' or other special abilities that trigger 'when this character activates' when you use Dominate. Dominate just grants a free turn with that character. It does not technically count as an activation. It works just the same way as Force Stun or Paralysis, in that if you are activated by one of those affects you are 'considered activated'. |
