If you choose to use Con Artist with Thrawn's CE, does your character with Con Artist also swap when Mithrawn activates? I ask cause Marn, Jareal and Zayne could all have acess to that CE and it would be awesome if they could swap with each other when Thrawn activates

You can choose the swap CE, but remember, they don't gain the CE, they are just affected by it. So the Thrawn player would be able to use Marn to swap with their own pieces; you would have no control over it. Choosing swap is a very, very bad idea.

I disagree. It's the prefect bait move. They are going to want to swap at some point and it gets your guy odds are on their side and they kill your big piece but odds are you should be able to counter that. You can really set traps if set up right.

The more I think about it the more tricks it has.

You can leave one of them all alone since they are better alive. Plus what if you have swap then you can swap back. I believe it's a lot better move than you think.

It would strictly require your opponent to make a mistake, and they can just freely ignore it and pretend you took nothing and then you get no benefit whatsoever. So if your opponent is smart, at best you get nothing from it, at worst they can take advantage of it and use it against you. Even the fact that you have to worry about it and prepare for it means you aren't spending your resources doing something else important.

Your opponent would have to be pretty bad for it to be a good thing for you. Playing a strategy that specifically requires your opponent to make a mistake is always a bad move.
