So if I have a melee character benefiting from Han in Stormtrooper Armor's Charging Fire CE and he is 12 squares away from HK-47 Assassin Droid, can I run up those 12 squares and attack HK seeing as the ability was used prior to entering the disrupted area or does my character lose CF as soon as I get w/n 6?

Since Charging Fire replaces your turn, you complete the action even if you enter Disruptive. It doesn't matter that you aren't benefitting from Han's CE when you get adjacent to HK since you only check for the CE when you try to use it. You weren't disrupted then, so you were able to use the ability, and it replaces your whole turn wherein if you lose the ability via Disruptive.

So yes, you can use it.

Thanks Daniel! I kind of thought that was how it worked specifically because of the replaces turn wording.

How about if another commander grants an attack bonus. I assume you don't actually factor that in until the time of the actual diceroll so I would assume you wouldn't get that part, correct?

Correct. The main thing is that you check for the CE as soon as you need to use it. You use Charging Fire at the start of the turn; if you aren't Disrupted at the start if the turn, you can use it even if you get Disrupted later. For a bonus to an attack (say, the Ithorian Commander's CE or Crix Madine's CE) you check right before you roll the attack. If you're Disrupted when you're about to make the attack, you don't benefit from the CE.

Ok, how about this:

What if you have Charging Assault +10?

You can still charge in and make the attack (as with Charging Fire), but you don't get the +10dmg bonus vs HK-47 (because you're disrupted when calculating damage), right? Or do you keep the dmg bonus because it took effect when you were outside of the disruptive zone?

I'm pretty sure that you lose the dmg bonus but since we're talking about this, I wanted to be sure.

No, you keep the damage bonus. Since Charging Assault is a replaces turn ability, after you use it you gain it's effects for the rest of the turn, no matter what. You can't gain some of the effects but not others. Since you still only check for the CE right before you use the ability, if you aren't disrupted at that point, you get the full text of Charging Assault to replace your turn.

Wow, that make a big difference! I've been playing it wrong all this time.
