Myself and another member on the forums were discussing nute gunray and maul on speeder. I believe that you can still move the full 12 squares that charging assult says, without the subtraction of any movement squares.

So can you indeed move the full 12 squares? I believe you can, but I am uncirtain.

I do believe that the newest glossary definition will over-rule this, but I'm not 100% certain. The intent of Charging Assault is exactly what we've included in the archives here

Basically, the ability is supposed to allow to move twice your speed, then attack. So, with Nute Gunray, Maul on Speeder would only be allowed to move 8 and then attack. I understand that the card specifically says "12 squares" though, so like I said, I'm not 100% positive. Double-check with NickName.

lobo is right the card saying 12 is just a clareafacation on how it works most of the time

well Given that it's been stated that you always have to abide by the most restricting effect (when given multiple effects).

So in this case i'd say it's fair to go with.

Nute's movement restriction overrides all movement limits (unless more restrictive) it can be viewd like this.

Nute caps the max base speed at 4. so the max a allied mini can move is 8.

Charging assault states you can move up to double speed and still attack (last ruling on it i saw dropped the 12 squares as not all mini's have speed 6).

So double speed for Maul with Nute move restriction would be 8.
