I'm currently working on an idea of using Revanchanist to give Vset Naomi Sunrider Ambush and getting the most bang for the buck with her triple attack. However I have a question about the ambush ability.

If Naomi starts within six squares of a mouse droid then moves 6 squares and moving further then six squares from the mouse droid, does Naomi still get to use Ambush?

She must be within range of the CE at the time she makes the attacks to use Ambush.

In your example, no, Nomi could not use Ambush if she moves out of the range of the CE.

Ambush (especially granted as a CE) is generally much better for shooters

Yeah it seems to be, I was just trying to make some OR pieces work that I had not played with.

Really if you have around 4-5 mice in the squad you should be able to get it to work. Just move the mouse first or set it up at the end of the round in case you lose init so on.

Also an Ambush question, that I always assumed I knew the answer to this one but can't find anything official to back me up:

When using Ambush are you limited to moving your Speed or can you move up to Double Speed and still make all attacks? I've always remembered it being the former but all glossary information does not specify.

I'm 99% positive it's just up to the character's speed. If a character moves more than its speed, it loses the ability to make any of the attacks on its card, absent certain special conditions. I remember some discussion a long time ago about the different segments of any turn (it might have been in the context of Charging Fire and Greater Mobile). Basically (to be blindingly obvious), you generally have a movement phase and an attack phase. Either phase can be "replaced" by the other, as in the case of Double Attack, where you would lose your movement phase in order to make an extra attack. And you lose your attack phase if you move more than your speed. So any character moving more than its speed would still not get to make any attacks, because it has effectively replaced its attack phase with extra movement.

You must be able to make an attack in the first place, thus only your Speed value.

Great, so I always played it properly.

I guess that is one that can be included in the expanded glossary project.
