This may have been asked elsewhere, but when a character becomes part of a Sith squad due to Master of Pain, does that character count as an ally?

Would the character be subject to the new Revan's swap commander effect or Exar Kun's Transfer Essence?

Are the answers to any of these questions different if we're talking about a character who rolled a natural 1 (and therefore joins the Sith squad for the remainder of the skirmish) vs one who just failed the save (and is only part of the squad temporarily)?

Thanks!

In all cases in where a figure changes squads, they become a part of that squad, thus are allies.

Yes, Revan could swap with a figure gained through Master of Pain.

Thanks.

Although expensive, Sith Inquisitor + Exar Kun = Yikes!

Yeah but it scores points for your opp so it balances itself out. You transfer to a 30 pt piece and your opp just got 30 pts closer to winning.

Yep, this is actually a situation that we identified during playtesting, and did do some checking on it.

Bill even had a playtest game where he got a full health Kyle JBM to switch sides, and then Exar transferred into him. But, like urbanjedi pointed out, that ends up giving 56 points to the NR player. So, yes, it's a nasty thing to do, but is pretty well balanced by the fact that you're giving extra points to the other squad that they normally wouldn't be able to get otherwise. So you have to make the choice of whether it's worth giving them the extra points in order to eliminate a key piece or something.

Perhaps it's well-balanced for point-based tournament play, but for the little guy who just plays casually (eg, me), it's a scary-ass combo.
