It works fairly well, but is still gimmicky. It really depends on the map and how well the opp sets up. The addition of pelleon and his force bubble also can be useful in the right matchups (no fprr for evade). The biggest problem is that you probably lose Ozzel as you can't really afford Ozzel and Pelleon if your plan is to strictly sqap Palsp for Arica. So better against some matchups and worse aginst others. Really depends on how the meta shifts with DOTF.

It's really no different than the lancer trick on Rancor Pen. First time or two and it will smoke you, but once you get used to it you can work around it somewhat.

Could be a tatical way to keep the vong from copying a key ce? The swap happen after the telepathic insight?

Telepathic Insight happens before setup, Pelleon's CE happens after set up.

You could swap in your thrawn for a junk commander you had at setup and deprive the vong of his swap or oppurtunist

No. You have to have the junk commander first, and swap him for Thrawn for the Yammosk to not copy. Telepathic Insight happens BEFORE the figure is swapped out. There is enough precedent to justify the Yammosk keeping the CE of a figure swapped out of the squad.
