Do any of you regularly write blogs? I've been reading the blogs at StarWars.com lately and was thinking of starting one to write about all things star wars including SWM. I didn't know a hyperspace subscription was required . . . That's an unnecesary expense right now.

I think it would be cool if we all blogged on one site. Maybe an addition to bloomilk or SWMgamers? Or find a blogging site that has alot of star wars fans that might find minis interesting.

I would be interested in reading some of your blogs. Since I do not get to Gencon or some of the other tourneys/cons it would help me know you all a little better.

It's the first free blogging site dedicated to SW I've come across. Or do you want to add it to this site?

I think it would definitely add value to this site to have a Blog section. We SWM Gamers are a real minority even in the world of Star Wars, we'd just get lost trying to find each other on another site. Most other collector sites might have a single thread about it a section is a rare exception. It would help build our community, to have an even more open forum to discuss our thoughts and theories. Shoot, I feel like I'm blogging already.

The fun thing about Blogs is that a post for the day can be as simple as "I finally got a replacement for my Lobot that got lost a couple months ago!"

Or, if it's been an interesting week in terms of minis, you might write a whole bunch. It would be a good place to put things about playing at your LGS or new squads you've been trying that you're having fun with, but stuff that you might not necessarily put in a Tourney Report or a Squad Ideas thread. Could be interesting.

Heck, if we want to just test the idea, and see how much people would use it, we could just create a forum section somewhere, and have people each start their own thread for their own personal blog.

Maybe I'm dense, but how exactly is a blog different than posting in a forum? (I'm not claiming to be an expert in either) Seems kinda the same except you have your own space and it's longer.

I'm only really familiar with Live Journal but how they differ from a regular thread is that only the original poster can post in the main thread and all other users comments about each post are contained in a separate thread for each post.

It would be like if there were a forum section where only one person was allowed to create threads and the entire first post would be the title and visible in the forum. All other users would be able to reply to the thread, but not start new ones in that section.

Perhaps I noticed something I was not supposed to. It was on the main page under the newest member.

yeah, it got activated a LITTLE eairly before i'd installed the rest of the system update, course it won't work without the rest, so i got it shut back off .. when the full update is done, you'll all know as there will be a annoucement, not that it won't be obvious as the look of the main page will change.
