Hey! I was just wondering how much the design team is considering turning non-uniques which were obviously intended to resemble certain unique people from the Star Wars Universe into V-Set figs. I realize a lot of them are rather obscure, even though Unique, but it would be cool for those non-uniques to finally be the Uniques they so clearly resemble.

I know this very topic has came up in teh V-set 2 discussion. We found when doing the current V-set that coming up with an mini that closely resembled the character that we were trying to create was at times difficult.

Obviosally characters like Han are mush easier to do than others.

The design team is going to look at this issue when moving forward with V-set 2.

Hey, all credit goes to the guys in that WotC thread, I don't even know who some of these characters are, but seeing as some of them are direct copies of Unique characters in the comics, books, etc. I think it'd be really cool to have some of them in the future V-Sets.

My personal wishes, from this list, would be to see Borssk Fey'lya, Atris, Corran Horn (pre-Jedi), Brianna, Cin Drallig, Coleman Trebor.

Nightsister Sith Witch = Mother Talzin
Darktrooper Phase III = General Rom Mohc in Darktrooper Phase III Exoskeleton
Caamasi Nobile (esp. the Promo) = Elegos A'kla
Mon Calamari Mercenary = Admiral Ackbar

I know the design team has been resisting the urge to recommend D&D miniatures as proxy figures for SWM V-sets, but there are lots of inexpensive minis that could be used there, with no real customization needed. Especially for the Vong. Maybe these aren't quite perfect but they are better proxies than any existing Star Wars minis...

Warbound Impaler = Voxyn (or Voxyn Queen, if you think it's too big for a regular Voxyn)
Large Chaos Beast = Immature Yammosk
Greenspawn Sneak = Chazrach Infantry
any number of undead = various Yuuzhan Vong Shamed Ones
Kenku Sneak or Kenku Warrior = Vergere

I don't personally see much harm in D&D proxy minis as suggestion. after all it is simply suggestion, nothing that HAS to be followed through on for the player. If nothing else it at least adds a variety to card graphics hehe.

but about the list of Non-Uniques based on actual characters I think its a great idea and a well done list. I don't know all of the characters but the majority I do, and agree on.

except for Coleman Trebor... but I just don't like him because its a terrible character name(for SW). probably the only one in star wars as a whole I don't like lol

EDIT: oh yeah, and its not scaled perfect, but still on a large base. I used to use the Dire Ape from a D&D set as the Gorax thing from the Ewok movie haha. it was for a few RPG scenarios at college way back when.

They aren't non-uniques, but Agen Kolar could be the proxy for Eeth Koth, like he was meant to be, and Stass Allie could stand in for Adi Gallia.

gotta love when they change the character name because its a different actor. not like anyone can tell with all the makeup anyway lol
