it used to give me the option of offline or online, now it just brings me directly to offline, and the "Connect" button doesn't do anything.

a side note. How exactly do the messages on vassal work? i have a bunch of people trying to contact me, but i don't know how to reply. Any help on either of these problems would be greatly appreciated

it seems to be acting a little weird the last few days. I think they are having server problems.

I wonder how hard ti would be to just host the star wars minis portion of it??

As fir the messages in the right window you can post and read posted messages. You can also private message a user by right clicking their name on the right side of the connection window.

still not working for me. I'm gonna restart my computer and see if it fixes itself. I don't think its a server problem, cause i can see the server status stuff, and who's online and whatnot. It just bypasses the option for me to choose "online" instead of "offline", it brings me straight to offline

You can still get online from there by clicking the double arrows on the top menu icons which open another window to the right. Click those double arrows again on the right and you will connect or it will give a reason why ou can't connect

i do that, and it says i'm connected. but it won't show any people or games, and then it just disconnects me after a little while.

Same as me Joe. It's not working right now and must be down at the moment.

It depends on the time. Check the time of the posts. Again it was working earlier today (I was on) and it was working just up until recently (some guys were playing league pre-season) but it must have just crashed.

Vassal has been down more or less for me for 3 days. Anyone know what's going on?

Every time I have tried in the past week I have not been able to get on. But again with what The StarKiller did to me I dont know if I will ever have that fun feeling to play minis again and I mean that. So I am not really worried about it. I have moved on to other things than minis.

what the hell did starkiller do to you????

This was posted on the Vassal homepage on Monday:

"The VASSAL site and game server were inaccessible on Sunday due to a flooded ground junction box down the street from our host. The telephone company has fixed the problem, so you should find everything to be accessible once again. We appologize for the inconvenience."

Obviously, they seem pretty confident that it was fixed, but my experience trying to log on today would suggest otherwise. But yeah, sounds like they're having some act-of-God-level technical difficulties.
