Anyone with some ideas of what we should change the name of Competitive Play to?

DCI is a Wizards thing and we are no longer associated with them.

Do you want it to be something like Gamers Competitive Association - aka GCA and then you have a Gamers Rating.

I dont know but we need to think about this as from now on Floor Rules and the what not will be handled by the new named Competitive Venture.

I like your base foundation but think it should be Gamers Competitive Players Association - GCPA

I think the gamers play association (GPA) is fine, it doesn't exclude anyone by adding in the competitive word, after all that's a fast way to drive some players away like rebels running from an swarm on hoth

I agree with Don. Azavander's suggestion is a good one, but the last thing we want to do is to cause a larger rift between the 'casual' and 'competitive' players. GPA is just fine. On the other hand....will feel weird to talk about a GPA rating, and have it NOT be related to school.

What about SWMPA (Players Association)?....if you dont know what the first three stand for, log off, and go away

How about Gamers OVERcompetetive Association? The emblem can be a chipped tooth from thrown D20.

I actually like this one too, because it has less of a school-sound to it.

I like SWMPA the most of all the suggestions made.

I almost suggested SWMPA, but it just seems like a mouthful. Since Gamer's is the focal site now, I felt that Gamer's was a solid replacement for SWM.

I like SWMPA also. I will, however, always say it as "swampa" or "swimpa" in conversation.

Or there's SWGPA (Star Wars Gamers Player Association). It keeps "Gamers" in the title, and "SWG" encompasses the RPG as well as minis. I know that the DCI replacement won't really have anything to do with the RPG, but it's just another way to incorporate more gamers. Also, anything that Gamers does for the RPG can be done under the SWGPA banner.

Just call it Organized Play. OP.

Sith Holonews Network doesn't need to be "Gamer's Sith Holonews Network" and this doesn't need that either.

It also kinda fits with the website here Star Wars Miniatures Gamers (just with association after it instead of .com as depicted in the logo at the very top to the left of the screen.)
