Very cool. I love the artwork for the canyon!

JC, are the clix generally a little larger than the 1"x1" square? I only know the Halo ones I have and have used SW maps with those and the bases are a tad larger. Rhen Var could easily be a bad ass Halo map though, so I am loving this!

Great news that it won't be long before MP4 is available. I'm looking forward to it and will definitely order it. Sorry to hear you'll be done with SWM maps for a while.

I also have some Clix compatible maps I want to release in 2011.

But this is good news for me. Although WizKids put out a map with each set for a while, players always like new maps. Variety is good. It will be great to see what you've got in mind. I'm looking forward to this as well.

And, yes, Clix still sells pretty well (I've even heard reports that the last couple sets sold better than before the hiatus) and still has a strong and active community.

A map is only as good as the layout.I'm relieved you like it.

Thanks everyone.

Josh just sent me an almost finished version of the spynet HQ. It looks off the chain!! You'll have to wait till gencon for that one

Matt, could you bring a copy to GenCon? I play HeroClix (same space size as HaloClix) occasionally, and I'd be willing to push a few bucks AG's way to have something good to play on for a change. I think you'll have a great opportunity there. There are a few good maps, but from what I've seen, very little up to the standards you, AG, and Chris have set in even just the past year in Star Wars.

Ha! thanks. And it's funny you say that because I got some huge huge news today that I want to share but I can't about clix

No I haven't started the project yet. I plan on taking the rest of the summer off. Theres too much beer and too many beaches around here to ignore them any more. I will see if we can get the Haloclix map printed up for you though!

We've been playing on Peaceful City since the regional and I have to tell you that we think it's a great map. It looks open at first glance, but reminds us of Muunilist somewhat when trying to draw a line of site very far. Gambit is broken up and protected in a very interesting and effective way. If this is the kind of quality we can expect from Map Pack 4 then we'e all in for a treat.

Another really sweet preview is inbound. This is going to be of the second "mystery map". For obvious reasons this is going to be a little preview

The clix games use a 1.5" map. Their figure bases are sized to 1.5" in the way that SWM/DDM figure based are sized to a 1" grid.

It isn't really a big transition. Really boils down to resizing. The maps are going to look like Star War maps. I hate how heavy the Heroclix maps look. there so murky and dark and blurry. These ones are going to be crisp, and have a nice illustrated look.

Here are couple closeup peaks at the Bothan Spynet Hq. This map is unique because AG7 and I collaborated in a special way. I did all the floors and walls, and designed the layout. Because we have matching software, I sent him the unfinished map, along with the basic shapes of the objects already in place, and he did all the fantastic detailing. And he did all the fancy lighting as well.
