here is the link to the future of the game section which has the collection of players input for the v-sets

Last I heard the set was about 1/3 of the way done. The plan release last I heard is sometime after Gencon. I did get a personal spoiler but for the life of me I can't remember what it is.

As far as another company picking it up others may have more knowledge in that area.

Moving along fine. Planned release is in the fall, after Gencon, but likely towards the end of 2010.

How you are planning, if its been thought about at all, on releasing the V-sets? I assume everyone will have access to all of them all at once.

Also, Im going to assume this is the general idea or plan, but my request for their release, the one thing i REALLY want for this thing, is if its just on a PDF or similar format, then have it done so the generic printing size will have the cards sized correctly, so people dont have to mess with trying to size them to fit in a card sleeve or whatever else they wanna do with them.

Download, print, cut. Easy.

I am happy with the progress. From anyone's point of view outside design, playtesting and publishing... It's going to seem like 60 cards all the sudden appear as if from no-where. (Did I say 60 piece set?)

This and Engineer's 'patience my young jedi' are the kind of answers I don't like for the entire v set thing. No offense to you guys personally, and I understand your wanting to keep stuff a relative secret so ppl aren't complaining about it before you've even released it, but at the same time you coukd use answers that don't sound like your trying to be condescending about it.

Yea, I'm not nvolved in your group of people who vare helping on the sets, id help in whatever way I could if someone asked me to, but the way some answers come out, it makes it sound like its illegal for you to tell us, or that we aren't important enough to know yet. I would imagine you didn't sign an NDA and we are all equally importaNt to the survival of the game, so it shouldn't be for either of those reasons.

For my initial question, if this is something you haven't yet decided on, which is my bet, as it is a smaller detail, could you not have responded with vsomething like 'we don't know yet, sorry' opposed to telling me to go play quietly in the other room while the adults talk?

Again, nothing personal to you guys who are workin on it, this is just hbow I perceive how those of us who aren't working on it are being aopproached when asking questions.

I think that you may have misinterpreted their answers to you. It didn't sound to me like they were dismissing you. The questions you asked need to be addressed. I remember the days of trying to re-size Rebel Scum postings. I would not want to fiddle with 60 cards that way, especially since I am not adept at any of the programs I'd have to use to do so. That being said, what I took from the answers was that they had already considered those potential issues and that they were addressed. The very people that needed to answer your questions did; they just were not verbose about it.

Like you, I am not on any of these design teams. Unlike you, I don't want to be. I don't feel like I am qualified, and I want to be surprised. I do know someone who wanted to help out, and I put him in touch with the person heading up that project. That person...one of the people who answered you, by the way...was extremely helpful and accepted that person's offer graciously. My advice to you would be to search these forums for topics that you believe you could help out on. Either post your ideas or pm those who are posting responses.

These people all believe that the entire community gettng involved will result in a better product, not just a select few. I wouldn't support it if I believed otherwise.

Engineer's not dismissing anyone. He's just being playful and using quotes from the movies. Relax guys. Realistically, we are about 5-6 months away from a release (obviously we will try to get it out sooner if possible, but no sense rushing it), so looking for thngs like previews or anything like that at this pointis a bit premature.

Right now, the plan is to have something to have something to show at GenCon. No guarantees, but that's the plan.

I would prefer to be surprised, but I agree that, for those who want them, that would be pretty cool. I thought I read or heard somewhere that they wanted to do some previews.
