Hey folks!

The Kickstarter-based pre-order drive for my Mass Transit II poster is currently 77% of the way to the funding goal, with a couple of weeks left to go. I'm getting optimistic again, and I hope everyone who wants this poster (or my others) will take advantage of the free shipping deal!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/map ... poster-map

Big thanks to all of you who have backed this project so far! Please keep spreading the word. Everyone who backs the project at any amount will be able to download PDF copies of the Mass Transit II maps if the funding goal is met.

Remember: if we pass the funding goal early, I'll go ahead and get the printer started on them early, so that everyone will get their posters ASAP after the funds are available for me to pay the printer.

That's awesome! Less than $500 to go now. I don't think we'll have any trouble reaching that. I just sent an email out to my whole local play group to remind them about it, as about 70% of them never post on the forums. Hopefully get a few more orders from them.

I hope a couple other people will bite. I was planning on going in for 3 maps in the next couple days, but I now have a sick pet, and a large vet bill coming soon. :(

I'm hoping I can still manage it by June 8th.
One way or another, I'll be buying some. It's just a matter of when...

Thanks, guys! We're up to 81% now. That's 34 individual map pre-orders away from the goal.

I'm not sure if this will post, as I'm using my parents' venerable computer that can't even display all of the content I know to be on this page, but I'll try anyway:

The funding goal for my Kickstarter project has been met, and this poster will be printed. Huge thanks to all of you who backed the project, by pledging your own funds or helping to get the word out to the SWM Community. I'm overwhelmed by the show of support I've received, and look forward to sending everyone their posters and other rewards!

In the meantime, folks have 10 days to place pre-orders for the poster and take advantage of the free shipping offer for backers.

Thanks again, everyone!

Wow, that was 34 maps sold in 3 days! Very cool to see. Congrats, Chris! I'm looking forward to seeing this thing arrive in the mail.

Is the free shipping offer to people who pledge open to international buyers?

I live in Australia.

Very cool maps, I am very interested.

Hey Chris - I went in for two, and if memory serves we had an option for 2 of the newest or 1 new and one older. I want to get Forsaken Lands and Mass Transit II for example. Will you be inquiring with those of us who took that option?

Yeah I did the same thing, and I'd imagine that to be the case. Really looking forward to this =)

Hey, folks! My Internet has been down for a week, so please pardon the delayed reply:

After June 8th, I'll contact every backer by e-mail and ask for their shipping information and map picks. You can chose from any of my currently-available maps, and the new map (of course) in any combination.

And yes, the free shipping offer does extend even to international buyers! :)

Just 4 more days to go. I'm so exited for this new map.

I'm in, looking forward to seeing this new map plus Forsaken Lands. Looks like you hit your pledge goal a while ago. Kickstarter looks to be a great risk-free way to raise capital on projects like this, to ensure you don't lose money. Might be handy for the V-set team too.

Yeah, I'm really pleased with the outcome of this Kickstarter funding drive; enough that I'm itching to release another poster in this way. It takes a lot of the stress out of the process of producing a map; I can go to the printer with confidence that the project has paid for itself and there's no chance of slow initial sales causing a financial trainwreck for me. That's huge.

Thanks again, everyone!

9 hours left to pre-order through Kickstarter and take advantage of the free shipping deal!

Yeah, I'm really happy for you. And here's my vote for a future project for you: make a map which connects with The Swamp Caves...perhaps the area further back, the inside of the Swamp Caves. Anyway, it could be cool. And seeing how you are so good at making these multi-connection maps, I thought I'd toss the idea out there. One thing's for sure: for the next few decades or so, I'll be buying any SWM map that you put out. :)

That's a really good idea! I have a couple of underground cave network maps sketched out for a future cross-genre poster like Forsaken Lands, and a little tinkering to make them work with Swamp Caves would go a long way!
