I agree with Lobo.

Most of the older pieces are still playable, however if anything you can still go back a play Set specific games if you want as well.

To move forward and grow as a game new powers must be developed and the inherent factor of powercreep will always be there. As long a WotC keeps this in mind it should not become too unbalanced.

There are figures here and there that are better than other figures that have come out in recent sets, but I think any changes that are made are for the good of the game. Most pieces now have another piece that still boosts them in some manner. I like that older figures aren't being forgotten about as we continue to get newer pieces that support older ones.

I'm thinking of Wedge, the Ithorian Commander that make older figures better. Even the original Jabba the Hutt gets ever so slightly better from set to set.

I do think there is "Powercreep", but it is not too bad.

I think that in order to keep the game going it is almost a necessity. Why buy the new set it if is just more of the same?

I think the developers are trying to minimize it, but recognize the inevitability of it. That is why they make the new pieces that boost older pieces. They know the creep is going on so they try to help the older pieces catch up a little.

Well that's unfortunate

I read them, but usually I only read the ones that are more than a line, hopefully this post isnt' one that less than a line. Can you tell I'm filling this post up with fluff? Nice weather we're having on the boards today. Guess what the forcecast is for tomorrow? Partly crowded with a chance of spamming.

I read them up to the point where the 2 sides of an issue start repeating the same points, just worded differently. Then I go play FFIII.
